This new broly just didn’t make sense in pretty much every aspect possible. From power scaling to the story, to his overall character. Nothing made sense at all.
YGO monsters as characters in a game is such an awesome concept instead of just cards that aren’t animated like they do today. This is definitely something that’s missing from the games today I feel among other things but a newer JRPG style Yu Gi Oh game would be pretty cool especially if they added the lore of the monsters from the cards.

The beginning of the movie was great. The rest is just convenient plot occurrences, over-presented fanservice and terrible characters. Cheelai is literally just a walking pair of t!ts to keep the audience engaged, Frieza's barely even presented as a terrifying dictator that needs to be destroyed, Paragus is one of the most important characters in the story, yet his death is just a plot device, the relationship between Cheelai, orangboy and Broly isn't fleshed out and the climax of the movie feels like plot convenience. Does that make sense now?
No Paragus death was a parallel to the sayain he killed from the beginning. Killed off for monetary gain. If you want to consider the last dragon ball conveniently not caught fine, but it represents dragon balls original nature. The entire story has the dragon balls tied to it with sometimes more important than others. But how it's tied has been seen in both serious and unserious ways. Literally the beginning of series happened because bulma wanted to wish for a new boyfriend. So not only are the wishes wanted to be granted in the ball park, it was a decent way to bring everyone. Not saying it's perfect but definitely far from bad. Cheelai and lemo are great characters to show broly as a kind person. The moments they had together gives us sympathy for the character especially since he had no friends other than a monster. Cheelai and lemo are also kind of opposites that complement each other. Adding broly naivety makes it a nice trio. This is great especially since with Paragus or enemy he's just been seen as a fighter. Frieza being a threat doesn't make sense because he's not the main point of this story. And even if he was a "threat" there's no way for him to beat goku and vegeta ras he admits they're too strong for him.
The old movie was better. It actually had a tragic story from Paragus' perspective. This movie feels like just another ROF but with a different character. Its like a long episode and not really a good movie.
It also doesn't make sense why Raditz and Vegeta would be on the same team, considering Raditz is low class. Shouldn't Vegeta be around other elite children or something? Raditz is only thrown in there just to remind us that he is there.
raditz never was a low class saiyan, this dad was, and even if he was, raditz was probably a child like vegeta, so they put childrens in missions together to know if they are low or high class sayians, it wouldnt make sense if there was a child with a bunch old adults destroying planets together
They just changed alot of stuff to make the saiyans look like decent people... they never say anything about Raditz because they retconed him..... Bardock is a good guy now but Raditz tries to murder Goku.....his brother.....for not killing everyone on earth??lol
They pretty much got rid of the only evil Super Saiyan that separated Broly from the main characters, and even removed his legendary status just to call the new one "Wrath" and "Full Power Rage". It just sounds like generic fanfiction forms. Like Super Saiyan "Ikari". I feel like they've been making things worse these days in Super by just removing the significance of the old Z elements. For what exactly? Nothing.
@@MiguelNava-qy2skAt least the OG Broly was consistent in the overall story. Everything seems to flow from one to another pretty fluidly even if certain aspects were dumb. This new one felt more like things either occurred out of convenience or for fan-service and character development was awful. They tried to create a Goku 2.0 when they could have stuck to the old formula of character development but with better aspects in the story.
Fun fact: The 3 Blue Eyes are only named here and are supposedly named after an angel of death, an archangel intermediary between God and humans, and a prophet. Not sure if its all true but given their near-godlike power in the Yugioh lore, plus Kaibas ego, it would check out.

Pro tip: Wait to upgrade Magician of Black Chaos until you do Badlands on your SECOND run. That way you can get two new monsters, including Reaper of the Cards, since you have DM#2 to cover for DM. Then you just have to do Yugi's campaign a third time for another Dark Magician after upgrading the first one (which you'd want to do to get Gemini Elf Lora anyway)
Ik this video is old so im commenting on it late, but just as a reminder dbs is not continuing after dbz, as dbz does have an ending that is in the future, but, the events in dbs is very similar too dbz.

Bros likely a D.B.M agent especially when it comes to stuff like sonic and Dragonball. All it took was one look at his content to see how he has some of the most trash takes on shows, movies, video games, comic books and anything in between. D.B.M ( Department of Bitching and Moaning ).

I loved grinding in this game as a kid, would password screen all my cards at the start, then beat everyone 100 times before going to the next And fusion menu cards were useful
I hate how pretty much all the wild or mission victory monsters with the exception of starting teams start at level 1 no matter how far you are into a campaign or if it’s your second or third campaign player makes most of them pretty useless considering enemies will be like 40 levels above them and they’ll have to get hard carried for several missions effectively making pretty much a dead slot on your team if you really wanna use them also why the hell did they decide to lock some monsters behind getting other monsters that can only be found in Joey’s campaign the very last campaign of the game that causes everything to go up to level 99 after being beaten.
I took the time to document every single monster's level 1 to level 99 stats and made sure to max out every monsters. It took me a couple months. There's literally nothing to gain from half the monsters, since the Harpies, Dark Magicians, and a few others are better than any guy you have to locate and grind out to be useful. Very bizarre design choice, for sure.
