i felt that "fuck the traction control" mb should have programmed the esp to turn off automaticaly the moment you engage low range its the most useless thing when offroading
Hello mate, looking to swap mine too. But need some help, did you change de diff and what about the ECU. Please make a video showing everything that took you to get to that . There is little to no info about this beautiful swap
This bike is so damn easy to ride that I often beat much larger powerful bikes on tight single tracks just because of the crf250f s ease of movement. It's really unbelievable considering the weight of the bike but between the wheel base and bike design, this bike is just so well balanced. I love mine
Some motherfckrs recently stole my catalyst. The car sounded like a freakn race car. As I was driving to my mechanic the whole town starred at me and flipped me off😂
Impressive! Was the clutch really shot at the end of the ride? At least that's what someone said in the comments. It's good to know I could never ride mine to its potential. It will probably last me the rest of my life.
Yes the ESP needs to be off so the power doesn't cut off, it also increases the traction, that's what the factory manual recommends. The ML is an incredible vehicle, I have an 01 ML320 it can go anywhere and it has being nothing but reliable and incredible
Honest review . Thank you . Yes the euro bikes might eat you in a open run but I’m sure you will keep many a rider in site on tight twisting track …may even pass a few too .
I wish coronavirus hadn't destroyed the entire motorcycle supply in the US. I want to get a couple of these and I am going to have to drive like 300 miles round trip for each one edit: this is a really well done review btw. I've watched some professional ones that gave me less useful info
This might be one for the mrs, don’t want her worrying about power bands and breaking radiators while she learns. Good review. What make is your bike carrier and what do you think of it overall? Don’t you have to display your number plate on it? Cheers
i own the same bike and ive wooped many bikes on rocky trails (not on open places obviously) I would recoments to take the baffle out add losts of torque and power and cut the air box
If anyone is looking for a light kit for this bike, I have 2 lightly used Baja Designs Squadron Sport light kit (#557001 on their website - D/C power) and the wiring harness and switch (#611049). The light was $195 and the harness was $40. They are an easy add-on to the bike, all you do is pull the power line to the battery and strap the light to the forks. I sold my 2 bikes, so I don't need the light kits any longer. Contact me with any reasonable offer.
Hey Trent, is it possible to register this bike in Australia? I can't see a LAMS approval for it but it is on the NSW Government Approved Bikes list. Is yours registered? Would be great if you could let me know. Cheers mate.
@Trent Dearlove It's known as the Ssangyong Chairman CM600S. It is actually a modifed Mercedes W140 S-class, with an S320 3.2L inline six cylinder engine made under licence in Seoul. It has MB running gear underneath too. Spotted one earlier today leaving Fremantle! Thought it would be funny to see at this event :)
I am 15 years old and 5'9. I am looking at either the Honda CRF250F, Yamaha TTR230 or the Kawasaki KLX230R. What would you recommend? I am NOT a beginner, I go pretty fast in some of the harder rocky trails I have by me and I do some small jumps, wheelies, etc.. What bike would be the best for me and could handle the rough way I ride better?
I can’t comment on the other 2 bikes, but if you’re only 15 then I doubt you weigh over 100kgs, in which case you won’t bottom out the suspension like I did. It should do you for a couple of years. But see if you can test ride all three bikes
@Steve 8756 All 3 of the bikes you mention are quite similar. They are built as affordable 3/4 sized bikes mainly focused on beginners or novice riders. They are not going to have a good suspension for jumps, and are not going to have much torque to lift the front end for wheelies or anything other than basic trail or enduro riding. They are all super affordable, durable, dependable bikes that are easy to ride and a lot of fun, but built mostly for easier trails. If you have the skills or are looking for more of a performance bike (at a price similar to the 3 you mention), to ride MX tracks or tougher trails, then I suggest to get a used 250 performance bike, preferably from Honda, Yamaha, KTM or Husky. There is a HUGE difference in performance between a Honda CRF250F and a CRF250R, RX, or X. Same with the Yamaha equivalents. Good luck!
