Dan: “I GOTTA WHIP” *death stare* Man: “ I’m not sure that the image Harry should be giving off” Dan: “Now to all views out there GET A SNAKE AN TURN IT INTO A WHIP 😈” Man: “😐”
This is fascinating to look at because if you really think about it, they're only just getting to know each other here and have no idea the rollercoaster ride they're about to embark on that is still going....the Potter films are long finished but they still can't go anywhere in the world without being recognized....not the case here. I guarantee you there are people out there who remember visiting Alnwick Castle in the Autumn of 2000, encountering a film crew on the grounds with young kids in school uniforms...then a year later going to the cinema to see Harry Potter and soon realizing "wait a second....I saw this being filmed!"
Chris Columbus was amazing. It is difficult to get 10-year olds corralled and focused on the task at hand - especially when they are sugared up! He was very kind and patient. Also, Rupert said he's not a good singer these days. He sounded pretty good here!
Rupert Grint did really really well in this adaptation. His acting in Harry.Potter series was... not so much. On his defense, he was awfully young in those movies. But in this adaptaion? Wow! If not because I recognize his face I wouldn't know if it was him.
