Reminds me of all the times I've been told to "just wait and see how you feel" with my period cramps. I'd wait a few hours just for them to accept the fact that i literally could not stand up and could feel the blood leaking out of my pad
God im so lucky i dont have to deal with that in college anymore, pretended to be sick to go to a concert and when i came back the teachers were more interested in who i saw than upset i missed a lesson
I got pulled out in the middle of PSHE once and it’s was my head of year and he just stood there with his arms crossed and said, -hey miss sorry to bother u can I borrow rashi? Hope everyone is working hard and being kind’ and I got shouted out for something I didn’t do 💀💀😭
I suffered a broken ankle at school, and a receptionist had to take me to the medical room. We didn't have a school nurse. You had to deal with a receptionist deciding if you'd live or die. She got huffy because I asked for some ice then came back and saw how swollen it had quickly become and said she was "surprised." I'm sure she thought I was faking the inflammation somehow 🙄 She didn't call my parents or send me to the hospital, instead she sent me back to class barely able to hold myself up using one leg and trying to cling to the wall, and proceeded to bitch to the other receptionist (in earshot of a friend of mine in the medical room for an asthma attack at the same time) that I was "milking it." There is a special place in hell for these women.
My History teacher had a thing on the wall with short tasks labelled by year, in this scenario it would have been take one per table (to give her 5 minutes to plan a lesson!)
