2:03 - You go over to windows file explorer however you didn't give any instructions on where to find this folder. Also the folder path is cropped out of the video, so I have no clue where to find that folder on my machine.
Excellent and helpful. If I do module development on my local it will be reflected on the Docker image on the docker which is awesome. How do I build a new docker image with the changes I made on the modules?
I am not an expert in backend development as much, I would like to ask if I can implement these filters from my front end directly or do i have to create them in a drupal view first and expose the filters?
Easy Drupal is very nice channel. I hope and request you never stop uploading these outstanding videos. Just a request, please show the URL bar in coming videos. It helps a lot. Moreover, the sentence (thats me, looking a bit stupid 😂) - I love the humour you added. Visited the video again just to listen the way you spoke this sentence. Thanks again for these wonderful videos.
hi, thanks for sharing this amazing content. I am entering on Drupal and it is quite intimidating. I have a question regarding your "Extend" view on Drupal. I see that you have modules grouped by categories on the left, how did you do that?
Thanks for the video. I’m not into decoupled Drupal. My question, any chance you could build a site from start-to-finish. I mean from a image/PSD/website copy online. Then install a theme, then use the layout_builder, bootstrap, display suite, paragraphs, etc whatever works. Then to finish product for the customer. I know it is a lot of work - maybe do it in parts / or sections. Tks Carlo
thanks for the enquiry (which i missed sorry) - I think it would be too much at present for me - try Fiverr.com you should be able to find someone on there
Hey folks, there's a little error both in the video and description, in the video, command "docker run --name phpmyadmin -d --link mysqldbdemo:db -p 8081:80 phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin" will show error "could not get container for mysqldbdemo: No such container: mysqldbdemo." same with the one used in the description, but the container name will be "mysqldb". For it to work use "docker run --name phpmyadmin -d --link mysqldemo:db -p 8081:80 phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin". Great tutorial :)
how to solve incorrectly entered drupal module version so it is not installed "This version is not compatible with Drupal 10.0.0 and should be replaced." Nama mesin: google_analytics Versi: 8.x-3.1 Requires: Drupal Core (^8.8.6 || ^9) (incompatible with version 10.0.0)
Good afternoon! Thank you very much for the tutorials, everything worked for me on my MacBook. Very difficult after Windows. Question. In my projects, I move the config folder to the root of the project (next to the WEB folder) in order to add configuration files to Git. And also often you have to move the files folder or make changes to the settings in the setting.php file. How can I access them? It's not entirely clear what to do next. Previously, I had all the files in one place, now I don’t understand how to work with this structure and where to look for the rest of the files or can I add some settings?
you can map the whole drive to docker but i havent done that on a mac - then you can run git outside of docker if you can make it work, otherwise edit settings from inside the container - let me know if you need any help
Thank you so much for this! So much simpler than any online tutorial! If I wanted to set up multiple instances, would I just repeat the steps with the desired name to create a second local dev site?
yes thats it - you will only be able to run one site on each port at a time but just switch off the other site or set a different port if you need them running at the same time, its really easy once you have it working to multiply the containers
Hi! Thanks for the tutorial. I'm a student and have to migrate a drupal7 site to drupal9 for a client. Everything in this video worked when trying to replicate the Drupal 7 site locally, except for that in the end, none of the images were loaded. Do you know why that could be the case? I came across 2 differences during troubleshooting, compared to your example in the video. First: All the files, including all images, were saved directly to web/files (instead of web/sites/default/files) I tried moving them into the previously mapped folder, but it did not change the outcome. Second: There is a very large temp-folder (150gb) in the h5p folder. Due to the size of it, i did not copy the temp-folder contents into the local project. Could that be the problem? Your help would be very appreciated!
I did have some trouble with files on this site and wrote something to import them - however I have done another site files successfully since using the drupal migrate modules and doing it on the command line - details here www.drupal.org/docs/core-modules-and-themes/core-modules/migrate-module/migrate-overview#:~:text=Migrate%3A%20Migrate%20module%20provides%20the,provided%20by%20the%20Migrate%20module.
Great start, look forward to following this series. I am looking to do the same, and will probably make it a DAM, and use the oEmbed providers plugin to help centralize social media posts.
Thanks - i got on quite well with VUE and I am now doing REACT - neither seem particularly difficult so far but i learn best by actually building something myself
I have installed drupal manually and run it with localhost. So whenever I click a new page or some setting inside drupal it takes around 3-4 seconds to load it. is there any how i can increase the processing speed of drupal in localhost?
just a day before i had installed druple manually and it was so complicated and took around 4 hours. This looks so simple and easy and can be done in 15 minutes itself.
hi - apologies i missed this comment - are you still having trouble? easiest way would be via PHPMYadmin if you have that setup - if not i can show you command line
Thanks for this tutorial. In Multiple field settings of the image field, I had to deselect "display all fields to show in the same row" for the multiple images to show. Otherwise the first image was showing for all the image instances in that node
Maintainers/developers for Drupal knew for years that Composer was going to be a requirement moving forward, so why is "add new module" STILL a feature of Drupal 8, 9, and 10?
Excellent tutorial, thanks so much for the series, it's invaluable. I accidentally used c: instead of d: for my mapping to local, so had to redo the container build, so i think i need to learn how to remap without building the container first 😆
