“ next time this happens, I’m going to defend myself”… acting as if he didn’t already try that and get his ass beat.. is he really trying to make it seem like the reason that he swung and missed that Mark Witten and then got destroyed was because he did not want to get in trouble?
For fun, I will take a stab and wonder if this actually could be Dec 1987? Basing this on the music on the radio...Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac....seems to me it was Fall 87 when they started playing this on radio, and then Electric Blue by Icehouse around the same time. Toronto was home in the mid-80's....special time, and thanks so much for sharing this!
26:30 - Dave Hodge with the biggest proclamation gaffe in NHL history. The idea that Al Iafrate may be a better player than Mario Lemieux is laughable.
22:55 - This is one of the trades that further cemented Los Angeles as a bottom feeder. Bob Janecyk played a handful of NHL games, Craig Redmond was a bust, and the 4th rounder amounted to nothing. Ed Olczyk was a top 6 forward who would have helped Los Angeles immensely.
David Scott. Such a professional. Actually refused to speculate and he was right. It was only until the other angles of film where released that you couod see what hapoened. A true test pilot.
