I’m Alec and I’m welcoming you to join me on my journey into RU-vid, working on the family farm and growing the business. From the farm itself to construction work to the grounds maintenance diversification. Showing the good, the bad and ugly of all and how hard and how rewarding it can be. I hope you enjoy and if you do be sure to like the videos and subscribe to the channel. Thanks for looking.
@@leemonaghan3792 it would disturb the seeds if they are just germinating and could send them deeper so it would be risky to do. Luckily it stayed moist and it’s looking good now
Someone had modified our hedge cutter the same way but the frame wouldn’t fit between the plates so had to shave a few mill off. It still moves when you put the arm out to work but stays there👌👍
@@casto- it’s pretty solid ours now. Going to get some bushes for the pins to sort the play out and then someone recommended welding some brackets under the oil tank and putting a small top link between them and the drawbar to stop any movement that’s left. Was going to just see how it goes as is first because it’s 10x better than it was
@@BoovyFarms don’t think I’ll bother with the 4th link with ours. I’ve enough fun trying to the get the top link bar to pull the hedge cutter vertical on the tractor🤦♂️
Great engineering work round to get the A frame on, have you done anymore hedging since fitted and if so what do you make of the A frame? Is it holding hedger solidly
Just come across your channel… I’ve got a fairly new GM business. We run a 145DC as well with a 610 Pegasus. We have the nokian TRi2 tyre. Great setup. Get through some amount of grass
I think you were being too greedy by trying to cut too much with the first pass. Lucky the car didn’t have a window down so the cutting could have gone through.
Was doing 6 passes on the part of hedge where it happened and it did it on the last pass. Wouldn’t have taken the job if I’d have seen it before but was for a neighbour, just one of those things I guess.
What's going on with all the noise with the camera, tapping, scraping of fingers etc? Need to do something with the microphone mate. Keep at it, appreciate you're a new channel.
@@BoovyFarms thanks, I might need it 😆. They do sports turf work. Grass cutting, sand spreading, verti draining, flailing… all sorts. Just thought you might have heard of them as your in the same kinda game 🙂
Terrible decision to have to make is topping a crop but most definitely the sensible decision to make in your case, kubota have two ace models out and apart from orange wheels the M7003 and M6002 look decent
@@leemonaghan3792 yes but it had to be done like you said. The kubota would look better with black or grey wheels I think. More about that in the next video!!
Thanks for the crop walk update, difficult times for sure. Is there any option of topping the spring barley and leaving down to decompose to put nutrients into soil, then put to grass for a couple of years as a hay crop?
Not as smooth as a vario by a long way but for a glorified powershift it’s the next best thing. Better power to the ground than the new Holland autocommand
I appreciate what you're doing and im sorry its been such a tough year. Its been a hard few years for a lot of people. I pray ot gets better for you and yours!!
