Meet the world’s first motion-based measuring tool that transforms the way we measure.
Moasure’s innovative technology revolutionizes how contractors across numerous industries measure complex and irregular areas, making difficult measuring easy.
Moasure’s advanced motion sensors and algorithms track the device’s position in 3D space as you move, measuring and drawing simultaneously. Without the need for GPS or line of sight, these algorithms utilize captured x, y, and z data to instantly calculate the area, perimeter, elevation changes, gradient and so much more.
Excellent instruction. May I suggest that you make further videos without the music? Even though it is nice music and quiet, it is distracting when concentrating on the directions. Thanks!
Hi there Moasure team from India Im having problem with my moasure , while measuring with "wall" option The Alingment and wall thickness varies as i move to other room from one room started
Wondering if I can purchase moasure pro 2 without accessories as I already have moasure 1. It would be a deal breaker for me if there is no way to update without spending/starting new. Thank you
I'm watching what videos i can find... trying to confirm it can help me map out an existing irrigation system, and then designate locations of each sprinkler head per zone so i have a detailed irrigation map of the system. I see that you outline that first grass area and arc, but i dont see that i can set the device down at each sprinkler as i lay out the lawn area. And how can i separate out each watering zone within the overall lawn area? I'd like to buy one today so i can complete the repair job I'm working this week.
Hi Norman, thanks for your question - yes it will! Closed shape measurements will automatically generate topographical maps which can be visualised in the 'Contour' view. This page gives more information about Moasure's 3D terrain mapping capabilities: www.moasure.com/pages/3d-terrain-mapping-and-volume-calculation
Hello, Very interested in the device! Would love to see a more in depth video on how use full it could be during the excavation process. I still haven't home through all the videos so maybe you already have that video and I just haven't come across it yet.
Hi there, thank you for your suggestion on more excavation videos, your feedback has been passed onto the team for future tutorials! In the meantime, we have a page on our website dedicated to excavation, grading and dirtwork which you might find helpful: www.moasure.com/pages/industry-excavation-grading-dirtwork
Please could you do a demo on measuring a residential house, semi detached, terraced and detached, plus overlaying the property on the overall plot, gardens/driveway etc. this would be great for residential surveyors calculating the reinstatement cost of a property. Would like to see a demo on benefits for residential housing. 🙏🏻
Hi Stephen, thank you very much for your demo suggestion of using Moasure for residential housing! We've taken your feedback on board for future video tutorials 🎥
Hi Ferman, Moasure works for measuring roofs as long as you have physical access to the parts of the roof you would like to measure. However, the technique used for Moasure requires a brisk pace and regular placement of the device between 6-8 seconds to capture a measurement point, and therefore may not be recommended for measuring pitched roofs.
Hi there, there are no subscription fees for the Moasure app, enabling you to access the features and updates free of charge (providing you have already purchased the Moasure device!)
Hi Harry, thank you for your question! The accuracy of Moasure 2 PRO is as below: Linear Distance: ± 0.3% error · Perimeter: ± 0.5% error · Elevation: ± 0.3% error · Area: ±1% error · Volume: ± 1.5% error · Layout ± 0.5% error. You can find out more information about this on our website: www.moasure.com/pages/accuracy
Nice job Jamie. Way to go Coach! I sure appreciated this video. I can't wait to get back out there. Something I'd like to know is if there is a work- around for those times when there's an obstacle in my path that I have to get around as I go from point to point
Hi there, thank you for your kind feedback! We're really glad that you found this coaching video useful. In most cases, you may be able to simply walk around the obstacle and place the device down on the other side within the 6-8 second timeframe. For larger areas, you also have the option to use the 'Ignore Point' editing feature in the app once the measurement is finished to remove the points you don't want to include. This article will provide you with some more information on how to use this feature: docs.moasure.com/en/use-cases/measure-around-obstacles. I hope this helps!
Wow this could really make things quicker for my excavation business. At least in residential where customers don’t really have the money to spend on expensive surveys. I could give them a quick estimate on the spot or same day. Is there a new version coming or is 2 pro the latest one?
Hi there, it sounds like Moasure 2 PRO could be ideal for your excavation business! Being able to show clients a 3D survey of their site instantly is a very helpful feature, and ensures that you're saving lots of time when it comes to estimating. Yes, the Moasure 2 PRO is our latest motion-based measuring device and was launched just over a month ago - we also have a 30-day money-back guarantee if you'd like to try it out risk-free.
See you handle windows and doors differently each time .....for example you captured the brick sides of the window glass then the window glass then the other windows youve done neither ... Very confusing
Hi there, this video is a demonstration of the different techniques and placements you can use for Wall Mode to capture different surfaces, such as walls, windows and doors, rather than a comprehensive site diagram which includes each individual window etc. For complete site diagrams, you would employ the technique demonstrated by Simon at 2:00 for capturing the spaces you've mentioned. We've taken your feedback on board for future demonstration videos to ensure this is clearer - thank you!
Can this be used to first do a topo map. Then the topsoil stripped quantity. Then a choice of balance the site or import or export? How big of an area can it do? Can it do a football field or double football field size area? Thanks
Hi there, thanks for your questions. Yes, Moasure can be used to create topographical maps and can be viewed instantly using the ‘Contours’ view within the Moasure app. Using the ‘Add Depth’ tool, you can use the fixed depth volume calculator to assess the volume of topsoil required depending on your desired depth of coverage. The Cut-&-Fill tool can be used for site leveling based on your inputted desired values, which is very handy for calculating material requirements, and determining how much material needs to be moved on/off site. You can find more information about volume calculation here: www.moasure.com/pages/3d-terrain-mapping-and-volume-calculation With regards to the largest area you can measure with Moasure, there isn’t a fixed limit to the distance you can measure, but rather the time you are able to spend measuring, as it's important to note that the size of your phone or tablet’s available memory/RAM is a key factor in this. We hope this answers your query!
Hi Heather, we have responded to your comment on another video regarding this issue, and we apologise for the inconvenience you've experienced. Please could you email support@moasure.com, and our customer service specialists will get back to you to help resolve the issue. Thank you!
I tried to do a “simple” rectangular site plan but it’s 10 acres. The app kept crashing and I wasn’t able to complete anything. I’m rather frustrated and disappointed.
Hi Heather, we're very sorry that you've been encountering this. We'd really like the opportunity to resolve this for you - please could you email more information about your issue to support@moasure.com, and one of our customer support specialists will work alongside you to diagnose the problem. Thank you!
Hi Angelo, thank you for your query. At this moment in time, we're unable to ship our devices to Brazil unfortunately, and do not have local representatives to sell Moasure devices on our behalf. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.
I purchased the moasure pro a few weeks ago. In the example you show, is it possible to subtract the area of flower beds within the space whilst keeping their relative position in the map. For example it would be fine to just measure the flower beds independently then subtract the area measurement but what would really be great is to start from the same origin and navigate to the flower bed contained centrally within the mapped area, hit a "subtract closed shape" function and map the flower bed. Please advise, thank you.
Hi Thomas, thank you for your question. Yes, you would be correct in using the Layers function to individually measure the flower beds relative to your designated reference edge. Once you have measured your chosen individual spaces, you can manually subtract their areas from the overall measurement area. With regards to a function within the app, we've passed your feedback onto our team for future developments! Here's some more information on how to use Layers, for when you're ready to get started: docs.moasure.com/en/moasure-app/master-layers
Hi there, please be reassured that whilst we have recently released our second generation of Moasure devices, we will of course continue to support those with the first generation. This includes our frequent app updates with complimentary features, and our customer support team will be happy to assist you with any Moasure-related queries!
Bought the Moasure 1 recently and never been 100% happy with it… now I know why - it wasn’t up to scratch and the new one is 50% more accurate 🤦♂️ Wish I’dve not wasted my money..
Hi Phil, thank you for your feedback - we're really sorry to hear that you've not been 100% happy with our first-generation product. We'd like to look into this further, and work alongside you in the process to resolve your issue. A member of our customer support team has been back in touch with you regarding this, requesting further information.
Great question! While 3D cameras can capture spatial data, Moasures motion-based technology offers unique advantages, especially when it comes to measuring irregular spaces or areas where a camera might struggle with depth or angles or even visibility. Plus, the combination of features and technology in our devices provides highly accurate measurements that can be faster and more flexible in many scenarios.
I build lake and pond dams, can you demonstrate out in the field how to measure the front , back and top of the dam in order to calculate the cubic yards contained in the dam?
Hi there, thank you for your suggestion - we've passed your feedback onto our team for future videos! For calculating volume, we would recommend watching this video to see how Moasure could help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wJQ3lqc-xUQ.htmlsi=rdXqJe07kQT7SwtY Please note that you must be able to reach what you'd like to measure, including the depth of the dam, and Moasure cannot operate whilst submerged underwater.
Hi Alfred, thank you for your question. If you are referring to a PDF export, you can turn off the 'Show Dimensions Page' option on the 'Configure PDF' screen, which will automatically remove the numbered list page which details the length between points. We hope this helps!
Hi there, thank you for getting in touch and we apologise for the delay. Please be reassured that we will send out more information regarding the details of the Sunday October 6th training event via email, if you have already registered your interest.
Thank you for providing this guide..,really helpfull. Could you do more examples like this, watching the coaching video is brilliant as a learning platform for use. Well done moasure 😊
Hi Stephen, many thanks for your great feedback, we're very glad to hear you find this coaching guide helpful and informative. We've passed on your request to our team for future videos!
that was a great histoic site to try it out out and the results are amazing, great video. Just orderd the Moasure 2 Pro, so looking forward to giving it a go
Hi James, thank you for your great feedback regarding this video - we agree that Barry finds the very best locations to demonstrate Moasure in action! We hope you find Moasure 2 PRO to be a game-changer.
I received my Moasure 2 pro device 2 days ago. I am unable to register as a new user. I keep getting an error that says "registration failed, please try again later." I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it with no improvment. I also sent messages yesterday and today to your online support with no response. This is disconcerting. Please help. I cannot find a phone number to speak to a human anywhere.
Hi Thomas, thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we're very sorry to hear that you have experienced trouble registering your device as a new user. We can see that a member of our customer service team has since been in touch with you regarding this and is actively working with you to resolve this issue. Thank you for your patience, and we're excited for you to start using your new Moasure 2 PRO!

Can you guys do a walk-through on how to do a fence line with stop start points (removing driveways or footpaths). This device looks great for concreters and landscapers but wondering if it would be a good addition to fencing contractors (me). It would be able to give us overall lineal metres and elevations for custom panels
Hi Timothy, thank you for your helpful request regarding fence lines! We've now passed your feedback to our team, and we'll take a look into what we can do. In the meantime, you may find this page on our website useful: www.moasure.com/pages/industries-fencing
Hi, thank you for your feedback! The edge serves as the reference point from which your Moasure device measures, depending on whether you're using the device on its own or with the stick. You can find more information about switching the reference point here: docs.moasure.com/en/moasure/understand-reference-point
Hi Angelo, thanks for your question! Layout Mode works by manually inputting your set of predefined X, Y coordinates into the app, or via CSV file, and you will then be guided to each point in reference to the starting point (0,0), and therefore does not use GPS or UTM coordinates to set out.
@angelobruno6492 As it stands currently, probably have to transform your points bringing them into Moasure and bringing them out back into your CAD software. Another needed feature needed, especially in the surveying and construction world, is LOCALIZATION. Basically matching / fitting within your tolerance, Design points to Control points in the field for further layout and point collection. In order for this IMU type device to be sub cm level with repeatable results with accumulated DRIFT error, gnss or other methods should be combined with the technology. But great for estimating of course, especially if it's truly capable of 1" accuracy? Is it? Or more like 4" or more????
Should start looking into Coordinate Systems and map Projections used in professional surveying and GIS applications typically associated with GNSS and Robotic Total Stations. Your company is on to something... but the inherent drift error involved with IMUs will need more help for absolute cm or even mm accuracy. I.e. help of GNSS or other technology aid. This is obviously great for estimating purposes where cm or less accuracy isn't needed. Very impressive.
Absolutely, Tim! You're spot on about the importance of Coordinate Systems and map Projections in professional surveying and GIS applications. IMUs (Inertial Measurement Units) are indeed powerful for certain applications like estimating, but achieving absolute cm or mm accuracy often requires the support of GNSS or other technologies to mitigate drift errors. It's a fascinating area where different technologies complement each other for varying precision needs. Glad you find it impressive!
Hi Tim, yes that's correct. The first two points taken (point A as the origin point, and point B) refer to the reference line, and any orientation changes will be in relation to these two points.
Would be nice to see your location in relation to all points that need laid out in real-time. What is the BEST accuracy of the device? I see from other videos 1"? Is there a drawback in achieving higher accuracy of 1" versus 4" or more? Can this stake out, layout vertical points also? I.e. points on flat walls or compound curved surfaces? Thank you.
Hi Tim, thank you for your comments - we've passed your helpful feedback to the team for future videos! Using the Moasure 2 PRO device, the accuracy is as follows: Linear Distance: ± 0.3% error · Perimeter: ± 0.5% error · Elevation: ± 0.3% error · Area: ±1% error · Volume: ± 1.5% error · Layout ± 0.5% error. In terms of staking out point vertically, Layout only guides you in the X and Y from the origin point. You will be able to see what the elevation is once you reach the predefined targets, and therefore can find out the height differences between all targets in the 'plan view' perspective. We would not recommend using Layout Mode for reaching points on flat walls. We hope this helps!
Hi there Angelo! Thank you for your questions. Moasure does not provide UTM coordinates, as the technology does not utilize GPS, but instead uses motion-based measuring technology. All coordinates measured within the app are relative to your first captured starting point. To answer your second question, unfortunately we do not support shipping to Brazil at this moment, and do not have a local representative on our behalf. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.
@@MOASURE ,Thank you very much for your attention and feedback. One more question, please.. Can I obtain the UTM coordinates through the moasure interface with another software?
Hi there, thank you for your question. Unfortunately at this moment in time, we are unable to ship our devices to Brazil, and do not have local representatives on our behalf. We apologize for the inconvenience of this!
Need to be able to see my "true" real-time location in reference to the stake-out points as I move around at a high update rate. I.e. 1Hz to 10Hz or higher for smooth motion feedback.
Hi there, we'd love to help resolve this issue for you! Please get in touch with our customer support team via the email address support@moasure.com, and our team will be able to advise you accordingly. Thank you.
While phones have some impressive capabilities, they typically lack the precision needed for certain professional applications, especially when it comes to measurements over larger distances or in challenging environments, calculating volume, gradient, and layout mode etc that dedicated devices like ours are designed with specialized technology for, with greater accuracy, reliability, and consistency that standard phone sensors can't achieve.
Hi Bob, thank you for your question, and we're so pleased to hear you love your Moasure device! Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a trade-in program for Moasure ONE devices. Our current worldwide distribution network, which prioritizes direct-to-customer shipping, does not support this option. However, if you have recently purchased your Moasure ONE device, you may be eligible for our 30-day money-back guarantee.
