I had a similar thought, trying to get myself organised for the rest of the year and moving forward with my publishing plans. So I put a poll on my community tab of the three ideas I'm leaning heavily towards.
I've gotten to the point where I'm just moving whatever gets cut to a new document. That way if I change my mind it's accessible, or I just have it if I want to reminisce about what didn't make it.
