How boring and dull. I remember visiting downtown Reno back in the late '90s and it was so much lively back then. So many more casinos hotels and restaurants. Now it looks like nothing. It's like they're trying to turn it into a bedroom community.
Great video! What was your overall impression of this luau? How was the food? I notice benches vs individual seats-was that an issue, was the bench uncomfortable after a while? Trying to decided which luau to attend. Thank you!
Thank you for recording the evening show. It saves me the time going to it. It looks really lame. The water jets just squirt up, but don't do much beyond that. They look like a big spray washing off the rocks, not even reacting to the music. At around 5 minutes, the laser figures start to get interesting. The animals are fun to watch, but then disappear into abstract lines that break up and are dull. Then we get the kitchen sink show: cars racing toward us, wiggling squares, dancing cartoon horses, laser rays fanning out doing nothing, USA icons ending with a crude sketch of the American flag. It's an amateur jumble of images amounting to very little. The mechanical animals are a hyped disappointment. All the bear and wolf do is move their heads a little. I didn't see the eagle move at all. The park garden is okay. The gazebo and bushes are pleasant, but don't offer much in variety. The white streams of lights on the bushes and trees have been done before. The architecture around this atrium park is more interesting than the garden. It shows a variety of old west styles. On the whole, a lame so called "attraction" that is hype and not worth the effort to see.
Not what it used to be, but when I come out for a visit, I hang out downtown for the nostalgia. Can't believe I didn't make it back before the Lil Nugget Diner shut down. Ugh. R.I.P., "Awful Awful"
You were walking through there relatively early in the morning. Hard to believe it's even worse now, especially since Harrah's is no longer around and the northeast part of Virginia Street above 5th Street are a whole bunch of new apartments.
Great video man!!! I can’t stop crying feeling very nostalgic thanks man! We need these videos to bring back a happier time a simpler time granted this was about a year ago lol! A lot has happened in 2020 y’all be safe and stay out of trouble!
Being from Cleveland, Reno is like Beverly Hills.. I play mostly live keno. Reno still has a lot of it compared to Vegas. The Cal Neva is a great casino to gamble at. I went there last year for the first time. I plan on hitting Reno/Sparks every summer now. Much better value than Vegas if you are a gambler like me.
Never been to Reno. We plan on going in late June if they reopen. Vegas has turned into a ripoff city if you are a gambler. Great video! Looks like a better value for our money.
