My name is Richard and i worked for 40 years building electricity Powerlines in the UK.Follow our journey from the UK to life in Thailand . . . #retiredinthailand #Phuketkaron #Phuket #Newlifeinthailand #Lovethailand #livephuket
That all went well, brilliant job, exellent flights especially the first one, 3 seats to yourself , pity about the second leg, i always try to pick my own window seat so long as there is no charges involved, or ask the check in/bag drop person if there's any window seats available, its usually a gamble to get an empty seat next to you, especialy 2 empty seats, you looked pretty fresh after 15 hours + of traveling , traveling light to ?, enjoy your stay, cheers ,.
@@stepho9999 Hi, Yes the UK licence is OK to use here up to 6 months then they expect you to get a Thai license.. The 1st one lasts for 2 years, then when you renew that, you get a 5 year one, which I have now recently done ✔️ 😀
Good morning Richard I hope chilli has a speedy recovery. And his next appointment where he gets his poke won’t be too bad. Wishing you safe travels and a great trip.😊
Have you any recommendations for health insurance it's getting a insurance company you can trust in Thailand I have insurance at the moment but I don't trust them one bit after what they did to my friend thanks
Any insurance is always a risk and I prefere to call them Criminals in suits. I did a lot of research and spoke to friends that had lived here long time and one company kept popping up. Pacific Cross. So I have been with them for the last 3 years. Not had to use them yet???..but hopefully they are as good as I hear 🙏🙏
@@frompowerlinestopowernaps You have got a good memory for an old un yes Penny and Lucy when I was at work on nights my wife felt very safe Kay says are you opening a new " Cat Cafe " they are all the go now lol
Thank you for your comment 🙏 but us old timers have to live life until the end. You can stay in your little life bubble anywhere in the world but when you roll a 7!!!! Your done ✔️. One life enjoy it and live it 🙏🙏
Hi mate. Yes, it's difficult when out on the bike, as the wind noise is horrendous!!! So I kill that completely then ad music/ some type. Thanks for watching 🙏🙏
If this is the low season it is not so bad at all. A bit less people but everything is open. I have seen many youtube videos, and I think there is many different views on what is ok or not, on youtube. Some are very watchful about music, some dont care. Why is it that bad to make a video in a public place where there is music. If it is a concert I understand, but music coming form bar's etc it can not be your problem. Some blurs faces of people they pases, some dont. Is there a official set of rules for youtubers or is it up to you.?
Thank you for your comment and I wholeheartedly agree with you. Sadly RU-vid do not and any reproduction of live music contravenes the copyright standards and we get penalised fir it or the vlog gets taken down. Likewise if you accidentally film a bar TV that is showing a top sport event. Sky sports etc. I do think it's too strict but that's what we are stuck with. But you are also correct, low season at the moment is still very good 👍🏻
First came to Karon in 93, Full on wealthy Germans, now all Russians. Stayed in the Karon Cafe down that Soi a few times very nice place, everything down that soi took a hammering during covid ,glad to see most places have re opened.
Yes thankfully it's taking a while but it is coming back. I will be doing the same route this evening, so we can compare day and night. Glad you enjoyed it 👍
TIP.. When filming in selfie mode you can reverse the image in editing by using "horizontal shift". That way everything is reversed and any printing "eg" signs will read as normal. Not back the front.
I am ready to come back again. Already missing Thailand. ( except the temperature😓) Does thailand suffer with climate changes as many other countries. To hot, to cold, to dry, to much rain etc. I think you have learned too much form Chuck. 😀 Put a little drama in the headline "Look what they did" So we all expect a catastrophe 😉
Well??? Never cold. This time of year extremely 🔥 and humid. September and October are the wettest month's hope you can get back soon🙏. Yes a controversial title can make a big difference but not always easy to come up with. Thank you for watching and commenting
I like that tile you had installed. We are upgrading our little restaurant in Udon Thani and I think we are going to go with that style. Thanks for sharing.
That's life in the far north mate. Maybe the close proximity to southern China 🤔🤔. They tend to be a lot louder, its only experience that you get to zone it out. Not easy in the early year's 🤣🤣
