I’m 72 years old and I wanted to be a cowboy so bad when I was a kid. The first time I saw this beautiful animal I was in love with it. I had dreams of riding a horse across the prairies of the west. I’m an old man now and I love reading books about cowboys, cattle drives and other western stuff. This is my favorite breed of horse.🐎
I am glad you gave # 1 title to Akhal Teke horse. I come from Iran and was born near Turkmenistan Border. I grew up living with these horses as well as Arabians. In Iran we call them Turkman horses. It was the Russians who called them Akhal-Teke. Turkman horses are one owner horse or his/her family horse. You must live with them to ride them. Basically they give ride to family members only. In Iran popular ''opinion '' is : Arabian is the most beautiful horse, but Akhal-Teke or Torkman stands out on coloring , tallness and slenderness. One horse from Iran that I must mention here is the Caspian horse for children . It is not Pony but very small horse that some might think it is mule . I made that mistake when I saw one for first time.. Thanks god for Americans' love for horses, we have more Caspian horses in America than in Iran. It almost went extinct in Iran. Rescue credit goes to madam Luis Firuz. Long story on that, do your internet search for more. If you are looking for a gentle trustable horse for children , do your search on Caspians. As I am doing for my granddaughter here in California. I appreciate the works you do on your site. Thanks millions. ,,, California.
What’s up with all the talk of attack by a horse? A horse would rather run from you rather than attack you. I stopped watching after I counted 7 uses of the word attack.
Horses have small brains, compared to humans, but they have something called "horse sense" we don't have, and which can save your life. Mark Twain famously wrote about it in "Roughing It."
Don't sit on horses. It hurts and damages their bodies, for example their skeleton. And it's psychological violence too.Horses shouldn't be servants of humans.Animals are here with us,not for us.
I've owned 3. Hobo, Vagrant, and Stella. My experience is they are highly intelligent, playful, but also highly mischievous. Apps are quite spirited when young and I don't recommend them as your first horse unless they're older and know you. They have to have a lot of interaction and exercise or they start getting cranky. While they are also friendly, they only bond with a few people at a time, Hobo only really wanted 3 people to ride him. Mine were all very fast and always asking to run, they loved it. Almost as much as they loved bath time.
I wish that the pictures matched the dialogue. For example, while hearing about the ears being pinned back, it would have been nice to have been seeing a picture of a horse with its ears pinned back! This lack of coordination between the words and the pictures was consistent, enough for me to stop watching after 4 1/2 minutes. Sorry.
You didn't mention price .... 🙂 They can be very expensive, the highest price at an auction so far was more than € 2 mio. Fun fact: King George also was a Hanoverian, his full name was Georg II von Hannover.
So you're certainly not normal, it's perverse to call animals pests and say it's for nature conservation, the horses were good enough for you 200 years ago and longer, now you're throwing them away and destroying them in a completely unprofessional way You can clearly see that you have something against the hunt and it has escalated completely. Who is to blame? Your great professional has no idea how to shoot, what kind of ammunition, etc. They shoot at random in herds and carry out a massacre and claim that it is animal welfare-related with an average of 7.5 shots. Are you serious? Conservationists, veterinarians and animal protection? I laugh and what's that supposed to be, a professional? The animals are simply left lying there in agony, that's reality and it makes sense if you understand it, every small child can shoot better and more sensibly. You can see your perversion against normal hunters who can hunt properly and take care of the animal. And the conservationists are rejoicing. It's obvious that you're not normal and something like that is a crime. The animals aren't even used, as with all the shots and then left lying around so that you can perversely shoot 260 horses in two days and we're certainly not talking about the animals that are shot and just die somewhere. You are the last one! Just never say anything against real hunters again! Well, at least you say that it's not a hunter but a so-called professional, i.e. a sniper. Wow, in a war you wouldn't have a chance if that were the case. You say this kind of crap is disrespectful to living beings, because of the dignity of the animals you don't give a shit and they're just pests. Let's see if your children see it that way too, I don't think so.
Horses may not be quite as intelligent as dogs, but they are far more intelligent than most owners, and usually turn their owner into an obedient servant.
Horses do not salivate in order to stay hydrated. They produce so much saliva because they are designed to graze virtually all day long and need saliva to begin the digestion process.
Basically true, but the swallowing of saliva is a major source of nitric oxide, for massive blood oxygen levels, for physical performance and brain function. Might explain why horses, but most other animals, have relatively small brains.
You start the video by saying that posture is important, and you can understand them by not coming close, but then you say that if the horse is sweating or of his jaws are clenched...
The property owners of earliest Australian history were the millionaires, the equivalent of the 20c. Oil millionaires. Their wealth allowed them to import the best stallions for the improvement of their stock horses abilities from anywhere in the world. Consequently the Australian brumby is in fact the same as the stock horse and breed to Australian conditions and it excelsl in hot conditions. There is a book ( 800 Horsemen ) im sorry i can give no more direction than that. This book details the performance (not the books main purpose) of the light horse of the WW1,
Love seeing all the videos from Iceland showing Icelandic horses. Some of what he says is a bit off though like he keeps talking about the horse most likely is about to attack you when showing distress. As if a horse attacking is common...
i had a horse dream {first dream about horses} 2 days ago but in the dream my horse was hurt by another horse and it made me really sad so as soon as i woke up i had to check on him and he was fine but the dream was really sad
Hwy di you not shov picturea of the horses you are talking about, instead of showing the same horses all the time, I loost the interess in this video because of that
Gypsy Vanner is by far the most beautiful horse I have ever seen. I like the black & white color the best.I know it's a lot of work to keep them groomed, but wee worth it.❤❤🐎🐴
