Classic And Exotic : you forgot to mention that "Lotus" Omega is in 100 % phisicaly an Opel Omega....which in turn is based on Opel Record. Lotus only tweaked the car since they were still a back end garage.
Taking the engine out from 3L to 3.6L, strapping two garret turbos to it, further modifying the block so it can handle the greater power output, and modifying multi link suspension and modifying the breaks is a bit more than what is implied by ‘tweaking’
I bought one of the 8 valve Delta's when in my late twenties...straight swap for a black Capri 3.0s The Derby car yard had a hard time selling it due to it being a left hand drive. Had to sell when I moved to NZ....now we have an 89 ST185 Celica, not quite the same pedigree, but up there.
I love v8's, and this one is no exception, but it's not a patch on the Vantage X Pack. Everything looks perfect and at the pinnacle of development on the X. Great film though!
I had to stop the video at 5mins and leave this comment, I cant wait to see if the host was really there the whole time in that white jacket and expected it to stay clean. After watching till the end.... he did not lol
