Lo oí por primera vez entre mi niñez y adolescencia en el Lp Libre Increible (1981) y Ritmo, Sonido y Estilo junto a Manny Oquendo y su Conjunto Libre (1983), alternando con tremendos músicos como Steve Turre, Andy Gonzalez, Jerry Gonzalez, Jimmy Bosch, Reynaldo Jorge y muchos más incluyendo por supuesto a Manny. Fue uno de los grandes músicos que me oriento al gusto del Latin Jazz por aquellos años, siempre brindando calidad en sus producciones musicales. Este tema escrito originalmente por Don Pedro Flores ha tenido innumerables versiones, pero en particular en este los arreglos son geniales, en especial oigan ese cambio de ritmo en el minuto 5:35 antes de la descarga de Robby Ameen (Integrante de los Seis del Solar). Went to see Jeff Beck Group with Rod Stewart (Mar. 1 1969). Mangy group with strange name opened. With jazzy, flutey numbers like Serenade and Bouree, and great rockers like New Day Yesterday and My Sunday Feeling they blew us away and stole the show! Not a bad night at the Alexandria Roller Rink for $3.50.
