WAIT A SECOND!! I stumbled on your channel looking for thin hair microlocs and as was looking saw you also crochet and read! OMG, were the same person. lol
@@Essenceofme - No specific question. I just would just like to see & hear an update on the progress of your beautiful locs. I started my microloc journey 2 years ago, with similar edges as your. But I'm still going through a challenging stage & length of hair, to where I'm unable to fully cover my edges. Wearing a lot of hats & headwraps...
Hi, I also have fine low density hair and U started my loc journey in 2022, so I'm now 2 years and 5 months. I cannot wait to reach 4 years locked because it is my belief that the hair loiks good when you reachb4 years locked. My hair has started looking good at least much better than when I was first locked and it was scalpy very scalp.
Funny watching this video today. I was showing my husband some of your videos earlier so he could see what I expect from my hair. Really with you on your thoughts expressed here. 😊
Commenting six years' later, but hair really looked good at this stage. A couple of videos ago, you mentioned that you were going to try Dr Bronners shampoo. Did you try it? How did it work out for you?
Thanks for vlogging about your journey. It is really helpful for me as a person has fine 4c hair and has lost my edges. May I ask: would you consider your hair to be 4c coily as well?
You're welcome. I don't. It's weird because I don't know my type. My fine, thin nature makes it hard for me to categorize. When I was younger, I would have said yes. But once I found the right products and learned to keep my hair hydrated it seems my true type stepped forward. 🤷🏾♀ I'd say I'm a 4a that reads like a 3b. 🤣
@@Essenceofme When I was a kid (and I didn’t know anything about hair types), I had super coily, very high density hair, so I thought that I had very thick hair. Unfortunately, the trained hairdressers were fooled too. 😫When I was about 13/14, my mum took me to have my first curly perm, the hairdresser, fresh from the US (we lived in Sierra Leone) took one look at my hair and drew the same conclusion as me. She used the strongest product she had, and that was when my edges started to go. What the chemicals started, braiding finished. It took me three decades to realise that I had fine hair. I’m considering sisterlocks and I’ve been looking at all the pictures of these amazing beautiful locks, but knowing that my hair would not look like theirs. 🤔That’s why it has been so good to find your channel, because for the first time, I have an idea of what I will look like with sisterlocks. And it’s been encouraging, because they look good on you. Thanks again for detailing your journey. Btw, I’m also a crafter (knitting & crocheting). Will have to check out your videos on those too. 😜
@@syerramia I’m glad to help and this is why I share my journey. I believe it’s hard in the beginning because fine hair looks REALLY fine with new locs. It’s like you lose the little volume you have. But time and patience are your friends. Please keep me posted.
I enjoy doing the same thing while I crochet but for the past month I have been sick and I just got out of the hospital I haven't been wanting to do anything. I have several projects to finish.
Very Interesting… Your Bible Recap Book, one day can you do a more closer review on it, it looks interesting. Overall, What do you think about it? Do it explain the different books in more detail? Thank you for sharing… 🙌🏽📖👈🏽
Hi Dana missed you. So glad to see you and hear your life updates. Crafting goals. I still love ❤️ your Sisterlocs!! I’m now 38 months Sisterloc’d and still loving 🥰 my journey. I’ve been watching your videos since 2019. I will be tuning in every time you have a new video I enjoy grown women talks. Take care
Just ordered Claim Your Power and will order the devotional next. My favorite Bible translation is NASB and I have it in the Inductive Study Bible. I’ve not ever really read the NLT. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for sharing. ❤
It’s good but baby… He is not playing. And for the Bible, I use NASB to study. NLT is more of a reading version. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🙌🏾❤️
It was nice to see how you plan your reading. I’m totally a fly by the seat of my pants kinda gal. Sometimes covers intrigue me but for the most part it’s the description and then the first chapter that holds me. I NEED to expand my genre because all I truly delve into is Christian romance or interracial romance.
You brought up so many deeper pieces of this book. Makes me want to read it again. I read it when I was in high school. Your point about the timing in life, when you read was a good point.
That makes me smile. I find that what I considered in my teens doesn’t compare to TODAY. 🥴 Which is another reason why I wanted to talk about it. 🥰 Thanks for watching and commenting.
I’m ready for this one. I’m gonna hop on EQ8 and plug it all in so I’ll know what my finished block size will be and be able to plan out how many blocks I’ll need for various size quilts. Let’s go!!!!!
Hey girl hey, I'm so excited for the book reviews to come. I never heard of booktube. I enjoy bookclubs so this is great. I looked up Beverly Jenkins immediately. I love a good Christmas read and I see she has one. Thanks for sharing 😊
Y'all I don't know what happened with the description sounding like gibberish. But check it out on your favorite retailer. 🥴🤦🏾♀ And I'll get better at prepping my notes. I had to finish before dinner started. 🤭
Heyy girl, Dana I'm a long timer how are you? I've changed my you tube name lol ..I really enjoyed this video sooo good to see a video. Still wanna know what's going on in your crafting world as well. That last book I'd like to hear you talk about that to us. I'll tune in. Great video love the background looks good.
Hey! I’m good. Yes, I have something coming. I gotta little of this and a little of that happening in my crafts. What about you? And thanks, regarding the background. 😍
Your Sisterlocks have gotten so long. They are Beautiful and Healthy! Happy Safe Holidays to you and your Family. I’m now an empty nester and got re-married 2 years ago! What a Blessing!💖💖💖
