Thanks for the vid! So this would have worked without cutting the original tunnel from the looks? Doing swap now and just come across the issue so trying to determine best solution. Cheers from NZ.
And you would have done a camshaft and spring upgrade before you put the motor in instead of having to pull the motor again in 6 months when you realize you should have cammed it in the first place.
Hey mate, finally a good video explaining the way to go when doing this conversion! Just got a question when it comes to the camber, are you able to get the wheel dead straight? Or the wheel is fairly noticeably angled?
With so much adjustment in these coilovers you can set it to whatever camber you like. Dead straight would be doable but I need - 3 degrees for track setup
New pads are cheap compared to accident damage change your pads at every meeting then assess the the pads that came out if below 5mm of material left bin them if more than that keep as test day pads or emergency replacement for the track
Shattered you crashed bro. But it’s good to see you are getting it all sorted. Did you find out what happened with the brakes? Would be keen to see a video update on that
G'day mate. I've been watching all of your videos today. I've finally yanked my 610hp 355 holden v8 out of my vl race car and an fitting a 700hp 416 cube LS. Your videos are really great! 👍 I hope to get over to Perth soon for a sprint meeting or 2! Regards Blair
Hey, did the factory t56 shifter fit straight through the factory hole in the floor or did you have to buy a different shifter for it or modify the floor? Cool build though!
Guttered for you mate, I’ve watched you from the very beginning of your journey when I first started racing….keep your chin up…I’m confident you will prevail in the end 👍
Sad to see but that is all part of racing and pushing the limits. You should be proud of what you've built and having a real go at it, it ain't easy but it is fantastic to watch.
Hey mate. Awesome video. I would love to do some track days sometime. What was the ls swap like? Was there much messing around or just drop in for the most part.
😊the K fraim from a V L V8 is the same as a V N _VS ,the power head on the steering rack is off set different to a V N you need to change it with the power head pips from a VN ,and you will be good to go ,
And if you looking for an break up grade ,try VT brake rotors and calipers with the hub up grade kit ,then a 1 inch master cylinder, either early Commodore ,witch your car should have std ,,Or you can find a Vs power booster and modify a VT master cylinder ,you need to make the push rod hole a little deeper the same as astd VS type master cylinder ,you should have discs on the rear std with car ,I run this system on a vs wagon for 15 years worked well ,One other thing you need adopters for the VT master cylinder to the VL brake lines at the master cylinder ,that's if you don't have ball socket ends on the brake lines.
