I'll give you an advice, next time before you weld the rear wing, put some vaseline on the interior. This will prevent the rust forever. Best isolation you can ever put, and yes, your videous are very interesting, keep doing what you're doing. You are doing great job and you are very talented!
hey friend when is the new episode? winter is coming, I wonder if you recorded any material in the summer or if you will have time in the winter to work on the reconstruction. I recorded an introduction to my reconstruction next month and I will continue the recording.
Hey mate, first of all well done for keeping the shorty original, you got killa skills champ. Their getting very rare now! Question mate, i have a shorty myself, ive owned it for more than 30 years here in Australia and in that time I've never seen replacement panels like that, is that custom made? Or can you buy them like that? Keep up the great work mate!
It is very interesting for a fellow "Patroller" to watch a talented young man dedicate himself to a Patrol restoration project. You seem very meticulous on your planning and very skillful. Keep up the good work.
great, it will be nice to see a good job. Unfortunately, I have not done the planned work on my Y61, but nothing is lost until the winter, the plan will be completed.
Why not use the factory locker? My Y60 has only the LSD and I would love to have a factory locker. I know there are ARBs available but for the type of restoration I am doing I like keeping it all OEM. Excelent work being done, congratulations and cheers from Brazil.
Will certainly follow your restoration. I am currently restoring my 1997 SGL-D Nissan Patrol Y60 from ground up. It is a TD42 non turbo that was rebuilt in 2019 and has only 1000km on it at the moment. Almost done with body work now. Cheers from Brazil.
I see the polyurethane inserts on, I think it's a bad idea because rubber picks up vibrations better and polyurethane passes on and damages other parts of the suspension
True. I am aware of this, not because I think it will damage the suspension, but because it’s too stiff for what I like. It will be changed before hitting the road 😎👍
I ended up using poly-bushings in my restoration simply because that is a material I could deal with here without needing to import parts. More stiff indeed, but there are diferent PU shores to pick from. I have used a softer one on the links to provide some flex and a slightly less softer on the panhard bars to provide for more acurate tracking on the road. My car is being restored to be more of a long travel car rather than an trail car, so I am happy with the results. Only downside so far is that the poly-bushings are quite squeaky.
Hello, I am waiting for more materials from the Nissan reconstruction, the last material shows parts of the Polish IOD company, I think that the frame is also from this company🙂. I was buying the IOD parts at the end of the year.
Hey mate. Sorry for not uploading. I've been enjoying summer and quite busy at work aswell. New video will be uploaded this weekend. Thanks for hanging in
