We are a Babylock and Brother sewing machine dealer in Ann Arbor Mi. We also carry the Brother Scan n Cut. We are live on Facebook and RU-vid Every Tuesday at 3:30 pm EST and talk about a different topic each week.
Hello, I think kimberbell will be selling some additional k day designs on k day Will we be able to purchase those designs using your affiliate link on kday? Thanks.
You ladies are great! This was very helpful. I'm making this pillow as a Christmas in July project. I've made a few of these pillows already but it's been a while, and I needed a refresher...this was perfect. Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing your amazing sewing room! I would love for you to detail your sewing machines. Checking out your other videos. Yours is my favorite sewing room I have perused on RU-vid. I love all of the color and storage solutions. I've recently moved and am trying to set up my sewing room again. I may use some of your great ideas. Thanks again!
Finding the right setup is definitely an ongoing project for most of us. I am glad you could find some storage ideas that will work for you. I am in the process of revamping my sewing space. Turns out the cabinet set that was in the basement when I moved in had some water damage behind it and it started to mold. So I took that opportunity to make some tweaks. I'll have a new video in the fall. When I am all finished. I will be sure to include some videos about the machines. - Sarah
I couldn't work out why I couldn't get the pintuck look. You explained so well about the correct size needle to use with the correct foot, also working the other side of the stretch. Now I've got it working. Thanks:)
This is a late comment but- I love the tic tac toe, sooo I was wondering if you might plan a checkers project? New shop layout is terrific! I cant wait to see it in person.
Yes you can. You follow the same basic threading, you will thread the left needle instead of the right, and turn your stitch selector dial to A instead of B.
The Artspira and My Connection page are the same page in the settings of your XP1. If you don't have My Connection activated, then just push the trash can and it will log you out. If you are connected using the My Connection feature, you need to leave that alone. Go to your Artspira app and disconnect your XP1 from there. The app is not actually on your XP, it is just showing your sign in information.
I hope you spend lots of time in your amazing studio! You are fortunate to have the space to make your magic happen. I am happy for you and glad you took the time to share your space with all of us. Thank you.
Great video. I learned so much. On another note. Can you tell me the name of the quilt in the background? Where can I find the pattern for it? It's sooooo cool!!
Hi there! Thanks for watching! The pattern is available, we'd be happy to get that for you. I believe it is $70, it comes with both satin stitch and blanket stitch options for each block in all machine formats. If you'd like to order it, just shoot us an email or call and we can get that put through for you! Thanks again!
Are your virtual classes interactive? Can I ask questions and get an answer in a timely manner. Some virtual classes that I have taken, there is no one manning the computer and you're left hanging until someone looks at the computer. It can be very frustrating.
Our virtual classes are interactive. We encourage questions and the class instructor, usually myself or Lisa should be manning the computer and cameras so we can help. When we have hybrid classes we make sure we have a mic so you can hear us even is we are away from the computer. We also put the computer screen up on a big screen tv so our in person people can also see what’s going on and if we are at a machine in person we can see and hear you online.
@@LeabuSewingCenter thank you , that's great. I will consider signing up for one of your virtual classes. I do love in person at my local quilt shops but I find lugging my machine and all of supplies is a bit overwhelming.
I am very very excited about Serger month. Thought for sure I'd be purchasing the Tryumph. Almost don't want to watch it since dollars are beyond what I could or shoud do. Maybe the Alcolade or Aclaime. I'm hopeful,
Hi Ladies! Thanks for the information. You may want to check your audio features. It should give you an option to control the sound output level. Sometimes when you raise your voices it comes out too loud. Since you were asking about audio. 🤷♀️
You can buy the punch cards online, as they are issued electronically and come with a coupon code that you can use at checkout. They can be found in the website's class section.
If it's a true-type font, you need to install the font. You do this by opening the file and selecting Install. It should automatically be installed in your fonts folder. If you are looking to install an embroidery font. You will want to select the help button and type in Mapping a New Font. This will bring step-by-step instructions.
I hope you can help! Why is my text showing so much smaller than the actual size and place it should inside the perimeters? Do you know if there's a setting that I need to adjust. I with I could post a picture to show you. Thank you for any help you can offer.
Hi Holly, there is a zoom at the top in the center. You can use the slider to adjust the size of your view, or if you double click on the magnifying glass it will zoom to fill the screen. This doesn't change the size of the design, just your view. You should be able to see the actual size of your design across the top in the center, or the bottom left corner.
@@julesp213 If you have an embroidery design, you can use the free Design database from Brother to send the design to your Luminaire. Dime has just released a new update to the Perfect Embroidery Pro that allows you to send an embroidery design from the software to the Luminaire. If you need more help than that, you will need to give us a call.
I'm still having issues with cutting fabric. Which video should I watch? I have the rotary blade in and have tried the regular mat and low tack mat and fabric moves. I've ruined a lot of fabric
If your fabric if moving then its not adhered to the mat. Have you tried using the scan n cut tape to hold the edges down? I almost always tape around the edges. I would need to see your fabric and design to give you any other tips!
I cannot tell you how many times I have watched this video. I love your way of teaching, however for this life of me I cannot figure out how to get to my font package !. It has the yellow checkmark. What is the secret?
So! If you have the yellow checkmark that means it's installed. To "Find" them, you have to have a font on screen. Go to the "T" in the upper left of the screen. Click it, then click on the white working space. Type something into the box so you have letters on screen. In the upper right, next to the box you type your words in are the font names. You have to have the TT box UNchecked. Then you should see the fonts from DIME in the list. The letter to the left of the name indicates what type of font it is (IE. puffy, micro, applique, etc).
