@@whspioneer89 gotcha no worries. Just remember the free gift deals. I believe right now if you buy a 4ah battery you get a free power tool. Theres like 10 to choose from with like $80-$150. That's how I got my CMCF921 and a few others.
@EhabHalat that probably depends on what engine/transmission you have. Some these had GM transmissions and engines and some had Toyota/Honda ? Engine and transmission
The ground on the left can cause the blower motor to dial just so anyone knows, I’m just trying to figure out why my headlight on my driver side downs turn on for a minute when I start driving
Thanks for viewing and commenting. I added Amazon affiliate links to Big Tool Rack carrier and a Craftsman brand similar item. The MoJack brand needs to be ordered from their website.
Thanks for viewing and commenting. What do you specifically need to see? This two wheel tractor is missing the implement engagement lever so I was just using a strap to keep it engaged.
I had a D17, I loved that tractor. It had a homemade/aftermarket 3 point hitch on it. Not sure what it was, but I cleared a lot of land with a Bush Hog. The Power Director hand clutch was perfect for dropping it back into low speed or even neutral when hitting heavy brush and popping back into high for lighter grass. The 3 point setup lost the traction booster, so I didn't plow with it.
Also you can use a socket and rachet to move the tensioner to remove the belt-put the socket on the bolt on the tensioner and its perfect to leverage the tendsioner pulley but as always be careful and use correct size socket
My 88 Runs OBD1…assume the 91 does too. Short the pins on the OBD1 connector and read the “Service Engine Soon” flashes (you can Google how to read the codes). That will give you an idea of where to look. I had all sorts of readings - ended up replacing plugs wires, distributor cap and rotor, coil, EGR valve, relays, etc. Finally, I got an OBD1 flashing sequence that pointed to the computer. The computer in mine (88..2.5L) is an aluminum box located under the dash, behind the glove compartment. It’s kind of a pain to get out, but you can…one screw hold it’s blacked underneath the dash. I found a replacement computer in a junkyard (you have to have the same serial number box). There is a strip cover held on with two screws. Remove that and you can get to the EPROM inside. Transfer the EPROM from your truck to the replacement computer. Then connect and reinstall the computer. Once I did that, my truck Rand trouble free…and still does. Good luck!!
rough idle might be the MAP senson -its the black item attahed to the front of air cleaner housing Also the Idle air control valve it is under the air cleaner it attaches with 2 screws i saw a video where you can clean the Idle Air Control Valve i guess you can clean it with brake cleaner (dont fill up the part cause it is electrical the point of the valve should be clean and clean the inside of housing being very careful be real careful when installing the IAC the screws are small place something under the area to catch the screws incase you drop them a white rag or whatever check other videos gather info hope you can sort out the problem but it does sound like the MAP sensor uh i just noticed this video was 13 years ago well im late
sometimes you can remove the tensioner and lubricate it around the mounting bolt and free up the rust -pb blaster or similar rust removal type spray and always lubricate new parts if they are high wear area -I always grease mounting bolts and the threads -clean the engine threads to and blow them out with air somehow
I think the through bolt and spacer you replaced is part of the design, engineering for strength and balance. That gap looks like it may cause problems under stress.
Thanks for viewing and commenting. I’m sure my modification didn’t make it stronger but I figured with the size, weight and power of the tractor it probably won’t hurt it, which it hasn’t so far.
Great older mower! I have one bought 5 years ago and have been mowing 4 acres with it replaced the deck belt drive belt and battery . Its built well has servicable hydros and grease zerks for everthing.
Thanks for viewing and commenting. I had to replace the hydro drive belt when I got it and battery. It runs and mows well. It has aggressive tires on the rear. It’s not the most powerful drive system. Some people expect it to be like a skidsteer or bulldozer and it’s not. I don’t have any problem mowing moderate hills but I use both controls in unison to make turns.
I had a very similar problem with my “88. It took me a while, but I found a computer box in a junk 2.5…pulled the EPROM from the original and put in the replacement. It did solve all the problems. I also picked up a spare box because they are getting harder to find.
Mine is a single speed forward, no reverse. A reverse mechanism as well as a variable speed mechanism were available as options I believe. Thanks for viewing and commenting.
@@whspioneer89 I found that mine is a 1952, # 917.57561. It seems to be at a pretty fast walking speed. I haven't attached anything to it yet. And I don't know much about it. I do see the 2 different size pulleys on motor side as well as to the transmission. If I moved belt from motor large pulley to motors small pulley, would this show it down? Makes sense to me of course but I just don't know anything about these .
I had that same problem with the original blinker assembly. I couldnt get that clip on the outside to hold into the new grill. so i found that In between the 2 lights there is a tab, i drilled into and then into the back of the grill and used a couple zip ties to keep it tight. Kind of a cob job but it works and i didnt have to buy to buy a couple blinker assemblies. Before doing the zip tie thing i tried screwing with that springy tab by filing and using a screw but it would still pull out pretty easy. So out came the zip ties....lol
Hello. Thanks for viewing and commenting. The steel wool and furnace cement lasted about 2-3 months. It wasn’t my daily driver however. Drove it maybe 1-2 days during winter if snowing and when needed to pull a trailer. The patch cracked in two right over the hole. Top half stayed stuck to manifold and had to be chipped off. Bottom half was hanging by some of the steel wool.
@@whspioneer89 Thanks for making it worth my time! Last time I did it I used metal and just used the cement as a sealant and had similar results but I like this idea
Thanks for viewing and commenting. That would be an understatement. It was made at a Fiat plant in Argentina. However it seems like the parts don’t cross to even the Italian built Fiat tractors that I’ve been able to find. Maybe if I could read and speak Spanish and had contacts in Argentina might be able to find some NOS parts or a salvage yard to dig up a part or two.
Thanks for viewing and commenting. Only been a week. Has worked great so far. You don’t get a huge amount in the little bottle. I ordered another one so I can make the repair a little thicker. About $9 per bottle.
Thanks for viewing and commenting. It really depends on how hard you use it. I can’t give you an exact minutes of use but I’ve never felt like the run time was an issue. Getting a larger AH rated battery is a plus however. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
Oh my God this is the video that saved my life and saved the truck thank you very much you are a godsend I've been spending over months fixing this or trying to fix it figuring out what the hell is going on kept thinking it was the security but no error was it was these two ground wires or I've been spending over months fixing this or trying to fix it figuring out what the hell is going on kept thinking it was the security but nope here it was it was those two ground wires that you showed in your video I thought I cleaned the ground wires but I guess they're grounding something else out underneath on the frame let alone knowing that this is a used truck and whoever had it before had attached stuff to it thank you again❤
Thanks for viewing and commenting. I’m so glad my video was able to help you out. I use RU-vid myself a lot to help me with problems. It’s so rewarding getting a comment like yours. Thank you.
@@whspioneer89 yeah man no problem you're welcome you really did help me I was stuck on this truck trying to figure it out thinking it was the security getting new parts and s*** like that and here it was it was those two f****** things I didn't realize you were grounds I thought they were like some sort of relays or something and also I didn't see them until I seen your video so yeah thank you lol spinning like over a month trying to figure this crap out
Sorry it's getting late and I'm using text-to-speech I'm on my cell so it might be a little bit screwy what I said or what went down hope you can understand it lol
