헉 아는 강아지들인가요??? 성묘 갔다가 날씨가 좋아 가족들하고 시골길 산책하는데 뒤에서 정말 갑자기!!! 소리도 없이!!!! 뒤꿈치를 핥아서 낌짝 놀라 뒤돌아보니 강아지가 무려 7마리나 ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ 따라와서 너무너무 놀랍고도 훈훈한 하루였어요! 한참을 같이 놀았네요 ㅎㅎㅎ

@@Snake123ro Not trying to discourage you, bruh but that's a ticking time-bomb you've got in an aquarium & I'll tell you why, *as an aquarist by profession.* Yes, in your eyes? "Everything was excellent." In reality? Studies done on the pathogenic potential of tubifex indeed shows that tubifex are full of parasites no matter how "clean" they may appear to be. Sure, your fish may seem fine now but as they age? That's when the symptoms of pathogenic transmission manifests. Most notably fish TB. There is no cure for fish TB. Infected fish typically develope abnormal physical growth (bulging eyes, swollen head profile, etc) & then just die off. This is what most novice aquarist mean by "everything's normal" - when the fish are asymptomatic & have yet to die. And when the fish finally succumbs? They will then say, "My water parameters are fine. I do water changes, etc, etc." *WHILST A TICKING TIME-BOMB OF DISEASES IS WIGGLING AWAY IN MY TANK!* That? Nobody ever took into consideration. As the worms plough through the substrate, eating mulm & fish feaces (source of pathogenic microbes). Basically? Organisms whose biology are beyond sound, reasonable captive aquarium husbandry (tubifex worms, freshwater mussells, etc) are best ommitted from your system, altogether. Don't rusk it. You'll never know what hit you, then.

@@happymoneybunny9824 There's no way to remove 100% of a tubifex colony once it establishes itself in an aquarium but you can try this less drastic method. First of all, don't feed your fish any other source of food (flakes, pellets, etc) for a few days. It's ok to starve fish for a week & in some hardier species even up to a month. In Nature, there are periods when food is less than plentiful as well. There is a purpose to deliberately starving them like this. The first is to cut down on waste (fish poop) that serves as food for the tubifex worms. And the other reason is to motivate them to forage on any leftover worms that they can find. Why "leftover" you may been wondering, right? That's because the next step you're going to take is *extrication of the colony by physically removing* as many worms as possible. How? Get a gravel vacuum, long hose & a bucket. And perform substrate syphoning in your tank. Using one hand to hold the gravel vac in the tank, use your other hand to control the water flow by kinking the hose that's out of the tank water. The reason for this is because sand is lighter than gravel. So, the grains can get sucked up into the hose. To prevent this, simply kink the hose to stop the water flow if too much sand builds up in the gravel vac. Push it deep into your sand layer. And vacuum as many worms as you can while cleaning the substrate of mulm, as well. Do a 30% water change as you vacuum your sand, not more. You don't want to suddenly change your tank water parameters by changing too much water at once. Two days later, continue to vacuum your sand & perform another 30% water change. Repeat this process every other day for 2 weeks. And remember, don't feed your fish in that time! Any leftover worms that gets pulled out during syphoning will be eaten by your fish. After 2 weeks, your tubifex colony would have all but disappeared; with a few stragglers here & there. This is ok. So long as you can no longer see a carpet of wiggling worms, consider it a job well done. Now, after 2 weeks of intensive substrate cleaning, it's time to service your filter. Throw away any dirty filter wool & replace with new filter wool. If your biomedia were covered in mulm, take them out, place the media in a clean bucket filled with aquarium water & rinse gently until no visible build-up remains. Clean your filter because yes, the worms do grow in dirty filter as well! Do not, however clean your filter & vacuum your substrate at once. This will disturb your biofilter & the tank might lose it's bio-chemical stability. After two weeks, you can feed your fish *lightly* with flakes - underfeed them. It's ok. Fish won't die from underfeeding. Only from overfeeding! Monitor your tank progress. At the end of the third week, do a 50% water change & vacuum your sand as well; this time round more thoroughly. Repeat a week later. Eventually, your worm colony should disappear in a month or two. Best of luck!
