Nice video with music. Would like to hear the sounds and talks of deer camp though, that's the interesting part. I'm sure most would agree. Then it's like you're there with the hunters. Just a thought for next season. I wish you all much luck and happiness and success.
How about howe bridge Rd we now have use of camp at the old SEGIL pig roast we will be there most of hunting season in the big old white camper and we hunt the game lands over by sks camp
It’s funny how the outdoor lifestyle brings us together closer than we would be otherwise. It’s a shame more people don’t partake in it . A good life is full of good hunting and outdoor memories !!! Thanks for sharing yours
Your video dang near brought tears to my eyes. I am the only one that hunts in my family. My 2 sons ages 10 and 8 want to start going with me. I do not have my own land to hunt on. My dream is to buy my own land, build my own cabin that I design and have it for my kids when they have their own families. I'm 42 years old and that dream just keeps slipping away further and further. The way land prices just keeps rising, doesn't seem like it will ever happen. That is awesome that you guys have that and congratulations on the deer you guys harvested. I live in Lancaster county and hunt in Tioga county.
Not sure where you live but guys I know have rented cabins near sections of public hunting areas. Getting to Know these areas by hunting them or sometimes camping in off season like fall or summer helps. Camp isn’t about owning the building your in. I hunted with some guys that just set up a tent in a campground with a couple old pop up campers on a public hunting area that allows camping. Deer Camp is really the people you share it with and the adventures and experiences you have together. Spending time with your boys no matter what you do lives forever in their memories. We’re just lucky we have this place that some wonderful folks allow us to use. We dont own it ourselves. I suggest the day you’re leaving your rental cabin or campground, reserve your place for next year. That would build your familiarity with the place and some of the other hunters who stay near year after year.
@@outdoorsforever1027 thank you for the good advice. I try not to be picky but I don’t like hunting public land. To many people and you have no clue where they are at. I hunted state game lands and once I had some deer coming in my direction. A guy shot at the deer and shot in my direction. I never even saw the guy and he wasn’t even close to me. He was behind a tree further up the mountain. That was the last time I hunted state game lands. To many stupid people out there.
I hunted ANF and never saw a hunter until I was dragging mine out. I tagged my buck in the first hour of daylight. Plenty of placed to hunt on public land unpressured.
@@jasonstoltzfus6540 I understand. I’ve had bad experiences on common public hunting. Where I live in Ohio, theres power companies and mining areas that allow weekend hunting or hunting with permission. It’s usually rugged country. There an area that mines with dynamite in places. They allow hunting with written permission on weekends when they are off work. (I often wondered if the deer are deaf in that area). I saw the largest Buck on the hoof I’ve ever seen there. His head and rack were peeking over a clump of cattails right along the road. To get the big ones you have to hunt the rough areas away from people.
Jason, DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM! I was like you, and with some hard work and my dream, I was able to by my own piece of land at the age of 51. Previously I hunted on other's property and only hunted public ground (for deer) briefly. But I wanted a place to hunt, fish, and trap, and not to have to ask for permission and be able to put stands where I wanted to. I wanted a place that my daughter, son, grandson, wife, and friends to be able to enjoy. As they say, "They don't make any more ground." So hang in there.
