We moved less than 2 years ago to this location in Florida Zone 9b we are taking the challenge to improve our garden basically starting from zero. We want to take you along as we make our Garden Bloom.
Thank you so much for the video - I was thinking about a willow for the backyard. But I didn't know the root system was so extensive. It would probably wreak havoc on the retaining wall keeping our house from sliding into a lake, LOL. So you saved me a big ordeal. I look forward to your other videos!
Love it!! I was just popping by to get some inspiration. Just an FYI, to connect the two 3 drawer organizers, you don’t have to screw them together, just take the top off the bottom one and the bottom of the drawer organizer that you put on top snaps onto the top of the bottom one.
Thank you for adding the list of items that you used you are the only creator that has thought about that that is wonderful and that helps a lot that means you are not selfish you show everybody what to do how to do it and what to use I appreciate you
Good luck! I’m a green thumb gardener! Originally from Missouri living in zone 9b now 24 yrs. I suggest you make a lot of changes! First off, that’s not really a raised garden bed, especially for our zone! I used brick because wood, even treated, doesn’t last it’s gotta be changed so in the long run it’s cheaper and less work! My brick is 5 deep. Or 5, because the first row has to be partially in the ground a little. Your soil looks terrible!! You should have at least 1 foot at least of soil. NOT the sand in our ground. You gotta build your wall, whether wood or brick etc. take out tons of sand, dump in soil! I plant seeds in Feb / beginning of March in tin foil pans. I can move the plants around. I even have used turkey pans. Punch holes in bottom, be sure there r a lot. I control the amount of water if we have rain, and the amount of sun. When starting my seeds I have my pans on my back porch out of full sun for a while because The seedlings can turn yellow, brown and die off. My husband built a structure for over and around my garden, I have a sun shade clipped over and down sides to control sun because the sun in our zone I brutal for plants, especially lung plants. Mine has hooks so I can pull up the shade from the bottom and hook onto the top of my structure. So they can get part or full sun. It also helps with birds. Plants still get pollinated very well. I’m putting in yet another garden in the fall. Your soil doesn’t look good! I don’t know what you’re using, but it looks OLD and has a lot of, mulch? It should be a nice rich color with fertilizer already in the soil! I also use manure in mine and a couple different types of soil. It’s not complicated at all. You said you planted here before,, I don’t think you added soil nor turned the soil I can tell. You need new or added soil. You need to have cover on top of your soil to keep the water in the soil or the soil will dry out by the end of the day. You need a thick covering, like straw or hay. It will keep moisture in your soil. Here in Florida this zone, we cannot let the soil dry out so quickly. Again, you won’t have much luck with mature healthy plants! They won’t produce like they should. Gardening here in our part of Florida to way south is tricky! But if your bed isn’t right, it may not work. A lot of cost is put into the bed alone. Yea, you’re gonna get seedlings, and smal plants.... BUT can they mature to full size AND produce many vegetables/ fruit. (Not all vegetables are vegetables they r fruit like tomatoes etc..) or will your plants die off, wither, etc.. you should also try vertical growing vine (you gotta do it yourself and train them, they look like vines but don’t grow vertically like beans) type plants since we have grub worms, slugs etc. they can eat the plants big time and fast. Keep your plants off the ground, tie them up. Container gardening is very easy! I have tons of Lowe’s and Tractor Store buckets besides my yard garden. Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash, zucchini, watermelon and a few different types of lettuce, radishes etc… I use 7 foot steaks to tie up tomatoes. Same with zucchini, squash, watermelon, cucumbers, all mine are growing vertically.
Oh goodness Jazmin, this video made my week! I was just google the seed collection to see if they were still up on the website and your video came up first :) MUCHAS GRACIAS!
Aww Roxana, this means a lot. I learned so much from you and even though I am a beginner I wanted to show my support. Is funny how I found your channel when I search about nasturtium. And so happy to see it was part of this collection. GRACIAS A TI 🥰
wow thinking about it that would help but is not needed at all... adding the pebbles/rocks helps the pvc to stay firm. and once you add the soil it surely stays in place. just make sure the soil doesn't go inside the pvc.
Great idea ! We are laying marble flooring in my kitchen, and I just bought some canisters like those! I don't have any epoxy but I think it will work with just paint. Thank you I'm so glad I ran on to your channel !!! Thanks again ! 😊
Been search internet for snow globe wreath for days. Thank you well done. A piece of clear hard plastic would make it an actual snow globe. Add some fake snow. ❤
Why are there random gaps in the shelving area in it? Couldn’t you cut some smaller pieces to trim it out? Maybe yoh could have made a border around the mirrors with thin trim or molding to secure them and make it actually look good
Ty for the comment. These were damage so I used them instead of throwing them away. We also get boxes from when we moved Amazon and supermarket. Is always good to upscale instead of throwing away. 👍🏼🥰
Thank you for the video! Got this bed for my daughter and Macys White Glove Del is bringing it tmrw. I do have a question. What size box spring and mattress are you using on the bed? We got a metal box spring for our daughter's. It is 7 inches in height and her mattress is apprx 12 inches. Will her 7 inch box spring be ok for this bed, you think?? Thanks so much!
@@dreveser598 hey i recently bought this bed and was wondering how did your 7 inch box spring do with your bed i only have a 9 inch bbox spring and was wondering if it was too big
@@Joy-oh6iu the box spring and mattress that we got for her, is just fine for her bed! I wish it were a bit higher, but that’s something we can always upgrade to in the future. But, the metal frame works just fine with the bed!
