Excellent tutorial for an easy to make stand. Just made one today and will make a couple more. I used the regular caps instead of the inspection plugs.. Other change I made was using a longer piece for the crossbeam to make the stand a little wider. Thanks to making the video.

Thanks for the idea. I altered the lengths of the cut pieces and modified the wooden part to be height adjustable. I used fast drying concrete so it was fast. I don't know what it cost you, but in 2024, it was about $60+ and that's with my 10% veteran's discount!

Same technique they teach in the military tactical driving school.

after thousands of dry fires on an empty chamber in a Gen 4 glock 22, the breach face cracked which was very disappointing

I always like to clear my weapon before handling it for cleaning or other duties. with my glock, i like to remove the clip, pull the slide back, double check the breach is empty unfortunatly it cocks it with that motion. Then i dry fire it and its clear and ready to handle for cleaning or repair. I was taught this is something you should do whenever someone hands you a fire arm. So i was just thinking to my self if that dry fire is damaging my gun. Thanks for the video

On the older CZ pistols that have a firing pin retainer roll pin, like on the earlier made CZ P-07, the roll pin is prone to breaking and should be replaced. Never had an issue while using snap caps in any of the firearm I own. There are some firearms that don't recommend dry firing or don't, so read the manual or read it on line.

The Springfield Xd's have that same issue with dry firing (roll pin that holds the striker/firing pin)

So striker fired pistols like a Walther PDP are good with dry fire drills too?

When in doubt, USE SPENT CASE....

That’s what I was about to say. My EDC even says dry fire is perfectly safe for the firearm and I’ve been known to use a spent casing every now and then because who has a gun and can’t get a spent casing? I don’t even need to it’s just more of a precaution I sometimes take if I dry fire for a very long time.

I like unions. Easily assembled and disassembled and saves space. Everything can be glued up to that point.

Good stuff sir, I was actually looking to see if anyone understands how to get out of a stuck seatbelt. I was watching a show and the victim couldn't unlock the seatbelt in a sinking car and this could potentially cost them their life. When I was younger I used to create slack so that I could loosen the lap belt and worm my way out of the seat, of course I am unsure if this is even possible in a post crash situation.

Great review. This was also my first surplus firearm purchase. And I also purchased it from aimsurplus. I’m extremely pleased. Great purchase under $350 👍🏽
