I post mostly F1 related videos (no languages barrier), especially my favorite team Minardi. Also post about unraced/failled project and testing session, my annual trip to the F1 canadian gp and sometime other stuff. Check my playlists
F1 seemed so much more chill back in the day. Hop out in a pretty exotic location in Rio, take the car out and rebuild it, let spectators watch and get close to the car, dont take it too seriously
he tested many times in 1998 (you can check the AtlasF1 testing summary: www.atlasf1.com/news/testing/ ) , beginning of the season in a 1997 FW19 in Windfield livery, but later with a FW20, like here at Silverstone: www.pinterest.ca/pin/514817801151158113/
@@joblominardi1 Yeah, I found some photos later after doing some research. I knew he was a Williams test driver during this time, but I had just never seen him in the Winfield liveried car. I actually really like this livery. Not as good as the Rothmans, I agree, but people denigrate this car, and I think it looks really good.
Decent car with an underpowered engine. Shame that Luthi turned out to be a fraudster & the Brabham team failed to capitalise on it's good beginning to 1989 with podium at Monaco, they struggled a lot for money in the years following this & eventually collapsed again midway through 1992
not pre-qualifying. Danner dosen't have to take part in PQ during 1989 (only the second Rial car of Weidler/Raphanel had to). This footage is from the 2nd qualifying session on the saturday.
Meanwhile his teammate Sospiri DID THAT and got a front row start in the Indy 500. Albeit it was the weakest era of the race and one of the worst 500s ever, but still. He still tried AOWR.
@@timyo6288 They were in pre-qualifying. That--by definition--means you are slow. Between Fondmetal and Larrousse, only Venturi Larrousse scored a point and that was only 1. Among qualified teams, Venturi Larrousse ranked last in the Construstor's championship. Minardi and Jordan ranked above them. Scuderia Italia Dallara scored 2 points, and ranked 10th in the Constructor's championship. Only once did they DNQ (JJ Lehto at Hungary). Brabham was worse, but they were on their last legs and didn't even complete the season.
From a 2018 profile of Patrizio Cantù: AGS closed down at the end of the season and Cantù went back to running Crypton Engineering, winning the 1992 Formula 3000 title with Luca Badoer. In 1993 the team lost its talented engineer Christian Vanderpleyn in a road accident and although Pedro Lamy was a challenger for the Formula 3000 title in 1993, finishing second by just one point to Olivier Panis, who was racing for DAMS. Despite this, Crypton ran out of money and closed down before the 1994 season began.
