Wtf this was badass both riding and video wise. What the hell were these settings? Hypersmooth Pro in post?.. or I'm just watching great settings of a kick above everyone else's chest protector, hell yeah dude, this is great footage 🤘
@@Mtbdrumrunner same as I have been running, 4k HDR Log, 30 fps, hypersmooth no boost, WB 5500k, high bit rate, 10 bit color. Under visor mount is really key.
@@murchman0 you're welcome! They are completely different, seems the normal lens captures the quality, and the ultra wide lens captures the smoother motion fov, you can't go wrong either way 👍
Oh I'm not on a mountain bike! Definitely not boring, he's carrying serious speed on those straights into the jumps! Cool deer race, great video, is this the Max lens/FOV? Awesome job!
I get what you're saying now, this pops and the lens captures way more, 60fps looks buttery smooth, great job on... Whatever settings you got iso shutter ev etc, perfect balance! 👍
@@murchman0 thanks man! I should try auto iso, I'm running the maximum shutter angle script, usually 90 or 180, helps with hypersmooth a lot unless it's twilight, thanks again!
Night riding solo is peanuts compared to having a close call with boot/leg...everything is fast, different, reaction time, but you got this though, that's why I bug the hell out of you if I'm in emergent situations, you're a trail leader with fine riding skills on all things you record sir, I'm just that dust and everything coming at you getting in the way✊
Great description, I will have to check it out on, someone else's big screen. Audio sounds tighter and clearer on the 13, but that's ridiculous VMT footage. You guys on these trails 👌
When a video contains both 30 FPS and 60 FPS footage, RU-vid encodes the whole video at 60 FPS. However, the 30 FPS sections are still shown at their original frame rate with duplicated frames to match the 60 FPS format. This means you can still see the visual difference between the smoother 60 FPS footage and the original 30 FPS, despite the entire video being labeled as 60 FPS
Damn Jeff, you were cruising! Great job on VMT and no hands on Hamilton Hop ✊ it looks like hyperview? Was it in camera or post? You have a great angle on this, HDR looks great, they both do just different. Thanks for sharing another video of the 13! 👍
Funny I felt slow on that ride as there was a lot of head winds with the storm. No hands riding is a key practice technique to improve your riding as it teaching you to steer the bike with your hips and not your arms. Yes, it was the Hyperview lens option set in camera, didn't really change anything in post.
@@TooMuchBike honestly I don’t think so and even ran into an issue doing it that had never happened before. I received an error on the 13 telling me it was stopping charging as it was too hot during the cloud sync. Once it finished uploading to the cloud it then finished charging
My first thought on this was you riding back with the hero black 3 or 4? but...the trail looked exact in terrain here. in my eyes watching this, I see the riding captured more accurately. For what it's worth, this clip above will inspire for the better more people to ride like it did for me
@@murchman0 damn man that's supposed to say your riding. The Fov seems more preserved with exceptional smoothness, it looks amazing. The reference to the older camera was how well you captured a mountain bike FOV before the cropping days of stabilization, this reminded me of that.
@@Mtbdrumrunner it has to do with it shot in the 1:1 format using the wide angle lens. When I set the frame to 16x9 after it was shot it didn’t distort the image like it nominate does to fit the 4:3 image to 16:9.
@@murchman0 thanks Jeff, appreciate it. I look up to you and others like Donnie for riding and video inspiration, I'll delete my original comment if you like. It's outstanding quality, I think I followed what you were saying. I'm strapping lights at Fightingtown and had a bad signal earlier so thank you the response 🙏
Yeah this looks damn good, the color detail in the trees and rocks just pop. The Hero 13 will be interesting, but I think for anything GoPro, the 12 with the Max lens 2.0 is the way to go. This insta does it so well. Awesome video!
@@Mtbdrumrunner It’s weird to see myself to be honest, it’s like hearing your own voice. We shot video for the whole 21 miles yesterday and he followed me for the most part so I have a ton of footage. So expect more raw videos as i really enjoy watching it on my 80inch TV in the living room in 4k vs on a computer or iPad.
@@murchman0 I know what you mean, little awkward you'll get a lot out of it though, and yeah I've watched a lot of your moto stuff on a 75 inch 8k playback in 4k that can't be appreciated on a computer. If it was me, I'd post that entire 21 mile ride, one video. Make shorter ones from that later on if needed/wanted. Hell I'm about to do exactly that, a long 34 minute video without music, see if it tanks or not, no notifications, sometimes different
You know, this is literally a mirror image of you guys riding flow trails on mountain bikes from 2015...and still rocking in a different time, riding different bikes....my ass! awesome footage Jeff!
Man, you and those flow trails, awesome riding, I think the camera did well especially on the fast sections like Griffin Run. This might be the first time I've seen you on an intermediate section, I can only imagine the humidity today. Wise choice and excellent riding!
Nice video Jeff! 25 fps is definitely different but looks great, the overlays are a nice feature, I take it it's from the camera? Excellent riding in these conditions, it's brutal!
@@Mtbdrumrunner the camera pulls syncs the data from my Garmin or Apple Watch. The S turns are my favorite, I’m not as fast through them as I use to be but thanks
@@murchman0 good information on that, I honestly think the trails get ridden so much that you really can't go as fast as before, I looked back at old footage I have and there's a lot of sections exposing past the soil, just the nature of having awesome trails 👍
Nice job Jeff! Trails looked pretty dusty but in good shape. Me personally, this is awesome footage of something I've not seen before, I was going to look the place up, but, I'll ask here. Where is this at? Great video and riding!
Man looks like you’re getting more comfortable riding on the trails even the first time on this one. The camera angle is perfect. Great job as always.!!👍
Hi Jeff. I've been enjoying your videos. I really like how you integrated the ride video with real-time trail info and other stats. How do you do that? I'm sure it is not a simple answer, but I'm really curious. Thanks and keep up the good work.
@@cosmichippo9708 Thank you for watching, actually it’s really simple, I recorded my ride with my Apple Watch or Garmin edge 830. I connect my phone to the insta360 camera so they sync time, disconnect to save battery, than go ride. When the ride is over the Insta360 app can then sync my ride to the video with a click of an icon. Full details here onlinemanual.insta360.com/go3/en-us/camera/stats/statsdashboard
@@alonsoc5562 depends on what you are after, if you want the shot to look and feel fast the lower frame rate is better. If you are after slowing it down or getting good still photos the higher frame rate is better. I use to run in 60 FPS all the time but have dropped down to 30 fps as my go to now. Also I very wide fov is really great for capturing the speed you feel when riding, the tighter the fov the slower it will seem.
I might be biased, I really enjoy everything you record, your riding is awesome, I like the stats overlay, and much respect to brutal heat out there. I think the GoPro shows more but, I just like watching the rides!!👍
First off, excellent job riding getting grip and jumping. I'm usually less thrilled with vertical, bud the the GO2 looked amazing. Read your description, and looks like it's a no GO3 for your mounting preference, appreciate you sharing this! 👍
Thanks I was hoping it would replace my GO2 as my just have it around, not in the way, just point and shoot but in 4k. The changed the sensor and now it can’t do what the GO2 could.
@murchman0 that's a bummer but really great demonstration of why it won't do the same thing based on changing the sensor. I feel the same about the GoPro in a way, 8x7 vs 4:3 superview....4:3 looks smoother and faster, 8:7 crops to 4:3 first, then stretches, I wish they would allow it to stabilize first then stretche, but it doesn't, thanks again for sharing this info man!!👍
