Mine had battery corrosion bad, I just used vinegar to clean it and it looks nice. Turned it on and the lights worked and the speaker voice had alot of static. I kept trying to use it and it would be like “Threeee Ttttthhhhrrrrreeeeeeee Ffffffffiiiiiiivvvvv” then the speaker stopped making sounds. The batteries when the Morpher turns on has solid red lights on all 4 bulbs but it isn’t attempting to work like it had at first, just solid lights and no sound. Any suggestions? It had just seemed like it was attempting to work after being cleaned with vinegar on one end of a Q-tip then the other end was to dry only. I sure hope I didn’t damage it by cleaning it, it looks nice now and the lights working show it’s getting power. I’m kicking myself over this.
Thanks! What do you mean by yellow dirt? like is the white changing to a yellow color? if that's the case, you want to look up retro bright. There are tons of videos on youtube about it! hope this helps!
Sorry if I missed it in your video, but to remove the circuit board to get to the screen, do you have to remove screws? I just did a complete teardown of a D3 to customize and want to do the same to a D tector.
Thank you. I am also wondering if the the red frame around the screen is removable. I ordered one and am interested in repainting but not sure if that part is even accessible.
All red and Green LED's have different resistances hence the color. if i used a different resistor I could make the green more yellow or red more pink.
Pretty good job! I have found my digivice that I had opened when I was little. I notice that there is no longer the cable that links the 2 parts of the toy. I guess it is used to make sound. Any idea where I could find this cable? Keep going on man
Incredible. I was looking at my black D3 digivice and I was hoping to find a video like this, mostly because I want to restore the buttons that have turned a pale yellow.
Wow, finally someone else who has this! I've had this same game for so many years, my dad bought it for me from someone from ebay thinking it was an official Digimon game. I could never really find any info on it because the same "company" made a different game also called Digimon Ruby for the GBA which seems to be the one most people have.
I just found my old D3 during quarintine and it doesn't turn on anymore. So I'm going to try taking it apart to see what's wrong with it. This video is super nice for getting a basic guide to opening it up. Thanks man!
blegh the last two screws holding down the board and screen are stubborn and partially stripped .... so close, I just need to isolate the "white" front so i can get rid of some of the yellow! that and give the transparent parts a thorough cleanout
Thank you for this! Is there anyway I can remove a screw that leads to the battery compartment, the screw is damaged as someone tried getting it out with a knfie?
How much would it be if i could ship it out to you and you fix it for me ? I would just need to make sure you’re trustworthy of course cause I’ve heard stories online and such
Average morphers are $25 shipped. Basically you send the item, I fix it, and you pay upon completion. If it's something I can't fix there is no charge just pay for shipping and I'll send it right back. Feel free to check out my fb or ig page for information. Ive fixed tons of morphers and have plenty of references :) thanks for reaching out and have a great day!
Devern Pinnock usually with a new speaker. Rewire it. It’s def possible to do it. I can help you with that. You can contact me via fb or ig. Repair on that morpher is $25 shipped. Includes parts, rewiring and shipping back to you.
@@prodigiouscustoms805 ok sounds good unless I can do it myself I do have a soldering iron and soldering wire but unless you think there may be more to it than a new speaker?
hi there, i’ve a japanese D-3 version 2 digivice and my shaking function isn’t working, are you able to teach me how to fix it? i don’t mind crack it open tho...
This game was made by a defunct taiwanese pirate Game Boy company, Guangyu Technology Co., better known as Vast Fame Co., who, compared to other pirate Game Boy companies like Yong Yong who've made shoddy games, made top-notch GBC titles such as Zook Hero Z, V.F.'s take on Capcom's Megaman series (speaking of which the sound engine used for Vast Fame's games like the one you've shown here was taken from Megaman 5 for the GB.)
Make sure your leds are in the right orientation, if you put them in backwards they won't light up. Make sure you bridge the gaps where the resistors were. Make sure
Prodigious Customs thanks! Doesn’t look like it comes with the wiring? Would I be okay to reuse the old wiring on the old speaker and soldering it to the new speaker? Or do you know what I can search for to purchase the wiring?
@@DanielHVuong as long as the wires aren't corroded you'd be ok using the old wires. Sorry for the late response, for some reason I'm not getting notifications.
I saw that you only paid for shipping, I am not familiar with the wish app, so do you happen to know if it is regularly free, or is it a sponser or something?
