Its been tested and is safe. Bowling balls are pourous enough that the water will expunge / leave the ball with time just by letting them be. For the same reason the longer you'll leave a ball submerged the more water it will take on (to a point). Stuff that does hinder this process is actually polish, which im pretty sure why his vibe barely leaked any oil out because it closes the natural pores of the coverstock and the subgrate. The recommendations for detoxing balls using ultrasonic cleaner is to scuff away any polish you've used, then do the process and afterwards re-sand to specifications wanted and polish.
Also I'll add that the "NU" balls that has been released recently uses a very specialized coverstock with more urethane in the mix than normal balls. They're still safe to ultrasonic clean and it will do "something" however these balls are very resistant to absorbing anything including water compared to your normal solids or "hybrids" and "pearls" which are more baseline covers. They're also very soft despite the fact that they really dont take on moisture at all. Its quite amazing what technology can do. Dont ultrasonic a pure urethane ball it will do absolutely nothing and can infact actually crack it (the vibrations on a microscopic level creates friction to the material of pure urethane blend that really doesnt like to bend or move) So any imperfections will actually enhance the likelyhood of it cracking further.
@@MandMbowling I just started recording some bowling shorts on my RU-vid page, including candlepin. If you guys are ever in New England, come to a candlepin bowling alley and let's see what you got!
Was not planning on recording this event. Then we seeded 1st place and decided last minute to try and get some recording. BTW I guess Iphone 15 camera is sort of terrible.
Thanks for the comment. I assume you are talking about Matt and we are working on it with him pretty hard lately. I expect more consistence from him soon.
