It wasn’t a tour! I went to blue apple beach’s website and booked boat transfer and day pass. So i still had to get a ride (uber) to the dock and pay dock taxes in cash and then there was a labeled blue apple boat that took me to their resort where i had reserved a bed for the day. I paid for food/drinks separately and They asked which boat i wanted to take back to Cartagena (4 or 5pm) and took us back to the dock where we started the day.
Yes i was solo! I made friends on my tour i went on thru airbnb experience but i didnt know anyone there! I recommend stayed in Roma Norte or condesa youre solo! Felt the safest in those neighborhoods, but i still avoided walking alone at night. Ubers were so cheap so i just ubered at night!
@@edenswilliams Ahhh its really lovely to watch a video with someone who is doing a solo trip. It's reassuring i guess ☺. I am staying in Roma Norte . I'm so excited and your video has really made me even more xx
thanks for your insight!! regarding coyocan, i know you mentioned plaza de santa catarina but are there any other specific parts of the area we should check out?
It was a bike tour i booked thru airbnb experience so i had a guide who gave everyone bicycles and we followed him around! Across that plaza was a cute little cove where a restaurant named aurelia was and thats where i saw the coyote statues, the frida kahlo museum, mercado n 89, jardin centenario, parque allende, plaza hidalgo, plaza de la conchita.. these are the exact names of the stops we made!!
The inside not so much unless you are a big Frida or art fan. but the neighborhood its in is STUNNING so i would definitely go to the area Coyoacan but if you’re on a budget or short on time you can skip the actual museum. I did not know much about frida but I did love learning about her life.
Its a show created by FX network, made up “horror” stories that have different themes each season. The season filmed in New Orleans is called coven about witches!
New orleans felt like mini theme park where no one follows the rules... And cleaning crew happen to party with the guest and dissapearing all day.until the next day at the morning... Equally drugged out and hang over.
I used Uber everywhere, besides the tours i booked where transportation was included like i rode the metro in one tour, rode bikes in another, or walked with the guide.
Love the video, u definitely enjoyed your couple of days there. I will be there in September where do you recommend on staying? Going with my kids and husband
I would definitely stay in an airbnb so you can get a bigger space with multiple bedrooms for a better price. pick which neighborhood matches your vibe best and look for an airbnb in that area: Polanco is the boujee area with designer shops and hotels, Roma Norte (my favorite) has all the best food and boutiques in walking distance , Condesa is more quiet, romantic, and in the middle of everything, Centro is where all the attractions like museums, ruins, historical sites. For a family, i would definitely recommend staying in La Condesa or Roma Norte.
Casa Wynwood Roma Norte, NaNa Vida CDMX, Circulo Mexicano, Zocalo Central & rooftop Mexico City, Historico Central Hotel are all hotels that I have seen on Booking.com and saved as my favorites that all look really nice. I think you can find more affordable airbnbs tho in my opinion.
I went in February and there was no rain at all but it was already humid and hot. Not sure about summer months, but i can only imagine it’s even more humid and hot so be safe!
I booked the day trips through my airbnb host! My host offered different activities so They set up the driver who took us to the tobacco area of Vinales and all the different stops that day And another day they set us up with someone else for the beach. We also set up a salsa dancing lesson too through our airbnb host. I guess they work with different locals, im not sure if its a tourism company but everyone was so professional and we didnt have to worry about anything! And we paid for our activities directly with whoever was guiding us that day
I had no idea you were from Chicago when I clicked this. So am I, visiting for the third time next week and wanted to see if there’s anything new I should check out 😊
Im from DC actually but moved to Chicago a couple years ago!! Chicago is my fav city in the US 😍 i would go back to Nola just for the food, everything was delicious
The brand is Galanz on Amazon. a cute retro looking microwave however I wouldn’t recommend this particular one bc it did not work the best. I didn’t use it much so i dealt with it, but it would take twice the normal time to heat up food, and its small just FYI!
Yes i was not expecting to be wearing a tank top and sweating walking around. Definitely stay hydrated and plan some activities inside to take a break from the sun
Yes sorry its the lacquer! Its amazing! I love being able to remove the hood too and the lacquer is so easy to wipe down/clean. I have not tried washing it fully though. I have another super puff ive had for years and its still great as well.
Just a tip. They do know what's happening. They don't have Netflix or HBO but they do have a thing called "paquete semanal". It's like a multimedia bank, google it, you may get surprised. Ah, and cubans may be a little wary of americans they are kind of new, cubans are more used to Canada and Germany ppl
It's a country under siege. Cannot receive medical supplies. That is as cruel as can be. Please petition the USA government to end the siege and let children have medicine.
Did you experience any stomach issues after drinking daquiris or other drinks made with ice? Wondering if it's sketchy to have those drinks or eat salads with lettuce that may have been rinsed in their water. Heard it might cause stomach issues? Thanks for the great video content. Heading to Cuba in 2 weeks!
No issues while being there! I will say that when me and my partner returned home, we were pooping alot haha but not in a painful way. We just noticed when we got back, we were going to the bathroom more frequently that week. We made sure to only drink bottled water while there and also pack your own snacks in your luggage before going there. Like protein bars, chips, everything. Pack more than you think you would need.
Merci pour ton sourire😀 et ta belle aventure à La Nouvelle-Orléans 🇺🇲 🎷🎶, en suivant ces quelques lieux qui sortent un peu des circuits touristiques qu’on l’habitude de voir.
