Even this dude sounds better than the original unless the mixing<?> was just bad. Part of why Isaa Corva's cover is pretty much my assumed perfect combination for the song. Wish EDEN or Stephen had a cover of it.
Would I be correct in saying that without first mastering vocal cord adduction, everything else subsequent is going to be a bit tricky? 😬 If so, how do I master vocal cord adduction? 🤪
I really wish I could have a singing teacher, in theatre school I was coached enough to have a passable, not unpleasant to hear voice, but now I hear myself so flat on too many notes & with all the surgery my breath is all over the place & my diaphragm appears to have taken an extended leave of absence.
Hi Matt, we would be happy to have you. Cant do this exercice well, the mamama feels so shacky and wobbling. Yours is so smooth and sounds easy. I have the same problem when singin high notes with compression in songs like lewis capaldi for example, it sounds like a crying grandpa... Even when lowering the pitch a bit. Any tips with this issue ? Thanks for your work and very helpfull content.
Been watching these videos and can already tell this will help me a lot as someone who is very analytical about my singing. It’s hard for me to “feel” something and replicate it without knowing how it should work first
Your videos are so good! Being in Australia I can't get to your classes unfortunately. If you have any more vocal distortion exercises please please share a couple of them. I watched your Teddy Swims video as well but I can't seem to get the distortion happening. I tend to flip or just sound super squeezed, minus any distortion.
Loved the breakdown of vocal distortions! Super helpful for beginners! 🔥The ‘Mum’ exercise is also so effective! True vocal technique segment was pure gold. Thank you for making this video.
Many singers these days are really relying way to much on ProTools and AutoTune.. and TBH.. most of the top 20 are painful live when the board doesn’t support real time correction. It is nice to see you trying for technique over Tech.
Thank you these are great I am learning so much from all these videos. it is too bad you are in EST time and the group lesson would be at 12pm where I am at.
12pm or 12am? If it's 12pm, we'd love to have you join us online. If not we could always schedule an online private lesson that works for your time zone.
Awesome! Thank you for your videos. During this exercise, your voice timbre changed. How did you do it? Raise your soft palate? If so, how did you do it? Please tell me. What did you do exactly that your voice timbre changed?
@@wolfstudiosnyc Thank you so much! To give an example, I failed at this for almost 1 year!!! One day I start the usual mixed voice exercises and sing songs and suddenly I can control most of it (yeah, just like that, suddenly, no explanation for that) So your reccomendation is perfect! We should keep practicing everyday, one day our muscles will remember. Don´t ask me why, I have no clue, I still ask myself why I started to hold higher notes out of nothing. I just practided the scales everyday. There was no in-between, it went from bad to good one day
This lesson is amazing but Teddy Swims style is boring after a while. It has way too much stuff. Technically it is almost perfect, incredible, a benchmark. But it´s too much, I prefer a singer that uses Riffs and vibratos on key areas of the song that really make it shine, not from the beggining to the end. Personal opinion
