Hello, I work for tvN, a Korean broadcaster. We would like to use your videos in our history show. In this episode, we're preparing for Newton. We would like to show viewers Lincolnshire, England, a travel destination related to Newton. Could you please let me know if I can use an excerpt to give credit to your channel? Thank you :)
Most enjoyable. My grandfather helped restart the battle many years ago, he and my father and mother and both my sister and I played our parts over the years. Only my sister and I are left, but the Battle goes on ! It is a delight to see it through your eyes. - and the castle ! My parents lived in view of the castle for many years. My mother died this year. It really helped me to relive so much of my holiday life with this video.
Are "Standing Only" Tickets suffiiecient do you think? Dont really want to be sat in seats with 2 kids for a couple of hours. Do you need tickets to see the parade or can you just watch from a distance
My ancestor: Thomas Spalding was from Suffolk, England 1640 and was an indentured servant to John Shircliffe and Ann Shircliffe in St. Mary's County Maryland near Baltimore, Maryland.
I was there in 1977. 6 fk months. Framed by South Yorkshire police for carrying an aluminium comb at Manchester United v Leeds United semi final of the FA Cup.
HI, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your footage of the North York Moors - particularly the aerial shots and sunsets. I am currently finishing an audio album that combines the natural sounds of the Moors with original orchestral music that I have written and I'll be making a short video to promote the album. I would very much like to include some of your film if that is ok with you? I will of course mention your name in the credits if you are agreeable to this? In the meantime thanks again for sharing these amazing views of Yorkshire with us all - they are spectacular!
I live in Spalding and am looking at the flow of the Welland from source to the Wash. Thank you for this educational video. I particularly look forward to walking the stretch from Spalding toward the Wash. Thank you again.
Thanks for the show. I was born in Holbeach and know the river well but have been away for many years in Australia. I always go back to Spalding when in UK. Those fish were more likely to be big chub by the way.
You should make a similar video about the river Dove mate. I used to spend many hours fishing the Dove on Burton Mutual water. I've not been in the area for 25 years so it'd be a real nostalgia trip that's for sure 👍
Thank You for the tour sir. I spend 5 years of my life in Spalding (2009 - 2014). Best years, best memories. Beautiful town and nice people ❤ I wish i could visit it again in the future.
Thanks for this, i was brought up in boston from 72 to 83 & cannot believe how much has changed. Not just Boston of course but obviously looked a lot different 40 years ago, bloody hell, 40 years. Thanks again.
I got a group of friends on stilts to join the parade, we where at the front just behind the lead speaker van. 7:45 unlike another group of stilt walker how only did the last half and jump onto a lorry at time we walked the whole thing and walked back from the football ground to Springfields !? LOL
St Margaret's is such a very pretty church. So is Well Vale. The church remains consecrated and each Christmas it holds the most beautiful candle-lit carol service. I've lived in the locality, on and off, for many decades and whilst the 'true story of the Lincolnshire Poacher' is familiar to me, the story of the haunting is not. Anyone who wants a chilling ghost story might do better to visit The George Inn in nearby Alford instead and hear tales of a former landlady, Lucy Goose.
I recall being bullied into walking round Alford church 3 times yelling goosey Lucy by this fat kid we called porky pig. He knew I could do nothing to him that’s why he bullied me. Nothing of course happened I just got a sore throat. Maybe if the tales are true and it’s not something to sell a pint it tuck pity on me because I was always being bullied by the people of Alford for one thing or another person even getting detention for wearing the wrong coat apparently my parents should of bought me a new one lol. Alford unpleasant people unpleasant town. If you wish to keep your money safe take it from someone that had to live there don’t go plenty of better places and decent people that will not rob you
Hi Steve - If you had gone to Frampton Marsh nature reserve you could have literally stood at the mouth of the Welland where it enters the sea, right next to the witham!
