Craig Einhorn, classical guitarist and singer/song writer, was born (1965) and raised in Yonkers, N.Y. He currently lives in Eugene, Oregon, USA. This RU-vid channel features his numerous recordings from the 90's to the present. These recordings include solo classical guitar works, classical guitar with small ensembles or orchestra, and original songs. Many instruments were played by Craig Einhorn including vocals, classical guitar, electric guitar, steel string guitar, charango, mandolin, ukelele, cavaquinho, electric bass, drum set, and percussion. In other videos Einhorn performs with his trio or a larger group. Einhorn's biggest hit and most popular RU-vid video is a Milonguea del Ayer which has touched a nerve with Tango dance communities throughout the world including Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Croatia, and more. Einhorn has one foot in the classical genre and the other comfortably planted in the world of popular music sung in English or Spanish.

Hi Elian, Thanks for your comments and question. I agree with your concerns. When I first learned this milonga campera in 2001 or so, I found some Russian sheet music with the title spelled incorrectly. With regards to tempo, I agree it's too slow but when you make a recording sometimes we make mistakes. Milonga Campera is not for dancing but Tango/Milonga dancers seem to love this mistake of mine. I play all the instruments and clap my hands and the hand claps create a catchy polyrhythm that may be why dancers love the track. Before I moved to Argentina I knew little about milonga campera and was foolishly experimenting with the percussion. Usted es Argentino? Elian me parece un nombre común en Argentina.
@@ClassicalGuitarist Yes, I am Argentine, and I play guitar intensively. I have noticed that foreigners like to add mexican maracas, caribbean bongos and spaniard claps. It only takes away from the Argentine originality and tradition, which has none of these instruments. We use bombo legueros and have a pletora of our own percusive intruments. It just makes out music sound less genuine, flatter and just more stereotipical. The only thing this instruments have in common is they are from spanish speaking countries. I dont like it. I am not saying stick to the original, I am just saying this is not a milonga anymore.

Its just that you are a good player with good technique and sound, I want to hear YOU play, not all the bells and whistles. Она была написана для гитары соло в 1940-х годах. Моя версия была опубликована на компакт-диске 2005 года под названием «Choros». Преподавателю танго из Сан-Франциско Гомеру Ладасу трек очень понравился, и он поделился им с людьми. Вскоре он распространился по Европе, и я начал получать новости из Италии о том, что этот трек звучит на милонгах. Я считаю, что Чичо и Хуана танцуют под этот трек уже как минимум 11 лет, и для меня это большая честь. Good story. I used to play most of Fleury's work when I was a kid and adolescent. Killer technique and hard work that was not to mention the full sentiment that goes with it. Incidentally you do a good job with your interpretation in that respect.My guitar teacher - Lorenzo Girola-was friends with Fleury and I remember listening to home made recordings from their playing sessions.😊
Hi Rosa, You're correct. In 2001 or so I was taking Tango dance lessons and since I'm a musician I decided I'd learn some music to play for the local Tango scene in Eugene, Oregon. I searched the internet and found the sheet music for Milongueo del Ayer which had the title misspelled as Milonguea del Ayer. After speaking with an Argentine expert on the music of the composer, Abel Fleury, I discovered that Fleury had given the work two titles, Milongueo del Ayer or simply, Milonga del Ayer. This work was composed for solo guitar and what you hear in this video is my arrangement. I play all the instruments and clap my hands. The original work for solo guitar is a style called "Milonga Campera" (Country Milonga), and was not intended for accompanying dance rather for listening out in the Pampas of Argentina. A friend of mine who is an excellent Tango dancer from Oregon (Marisela Rizik), was in Buenos Aires several months ago at the historic Club Gricel. A man asked her to dance a set of milongas and the third song played was this recording! I recorded this music in a small room in my house in Eugene, Oregon in 2004.
