1:17 This is wrong. Whiteclad Noble in game is one of the brothers of Erlang. The figure in TV show is 灵虚子, which is a wolf; in game he is the hanged dead body nearby the third bell. The boss Lingxuzi or 凌虚子 is like a successor of 灵虚子 (you see their name is similar but different in one character).
Journey to the West is the TV childhood's series of every kids in whole Asia. Director is a female, it was filmed by ONLY ONE cameraman - the director's husband. The intro, outro was written by handwriting cuz they didn't had enough money to bring that on computer:) each of the actor, actress (even the 4 main) had at least 4-5 other roles in that film. So fvcking hard and poor in the vfx and the whole crew but they did a masterpiece. So iconic that from the 1986 till now, there is no remake one better than it, even it has a better vfx

The first Journey to the West Novel came out in 1500s and had remained a popular and even rivals many video games and TV series today. So this IP had been popular for at least 500 years, which is pretty insane.

some characters in tv series are really realistic. you know, not all evil people look like they're crazy ugly and demonic. you get the raw humanities in tv series. They can be kind to you on surface and constantly smilng. sometimes in the series it's really funny and after laughing you suddenly realize it's creepy and get chills down your spine.
