I have been a huge Status Quo girl since I was 5yo thanks to my eldest brother. I was very lucky to see them live performing in St Kilda at the Palace 🇦🇺 Australia. I was lost for words when he died. I still love there music today and listen to there cds on my way to work May he RIP 😢
I first saw Quo in 1979 at Wembley Arena on the WYW tour - and seven weeks later I was back at Hammersmith! Hooked or what? I've been to see them on average once a year, but the FF reunion was a show not to be missed. Great to see them back together again at Hammersmith, playing the old songs, and getting hooked all over again.
Not a les paul guy. There`s something about a Gibson les paul guitar that symbolises rock n roll for me more than the fenders although superb guitars aswell.
It was such a shame when Rick passed. He was such a genuine nice guy and really never got pissed when people recognised him and came over while he was busy. I was friends with him when he lived over the road from me in Teddington. I watered his house plants when he went on tour. great video 👍
Such a loss, I was a close friend of Ricks when he lived in Teddington. I was just struck dumb when I found out he had passed. He certainly was a character and a really great guy. Never getting sh1tty when people came up and interrupted he while he was having a night off from being one of Status Quo. Thanks for sharing this it brings back so many memories.
Teddington ... blimey you've given me memories as well ... that's where it all started when we all came down from Rothesay and Glasgow in 1970 ... the the Isle of Wight with Hendrix, now just down from you in Sunbury on Thames ... 3 Fishes in Kingston was a gear pub with great bands around the area such as the Toby jug, Half moon in Putney, greyhound Fulham palace Road, white hart in Kingston, the Dolphin ... it just goes on and on ... what a time to experience all that. ... cheers
