the group of girls were definitley the best out of everyone on this episode. especially the girl with the ponytail who was loving the fact of how cheap it was and all the girls were so appreciative and humble for how little they had in life. they didn't moan once unlike the 2 women and the family who are vets. i think these 9.50 holidays are definitely for people like those group of girls and also the family of 7 as they were the only ones who were really treating it as there only holiday of the year and seemed so nice.
The couple with the five children should stop sharing their finances with their eleven-year-old daughter. She has a guilt trip for wanting to be a child.
I love how every comment is about the family of 7 and how lovely they are. Raising their kids while on a budget, yet giving them the world. I hope they did manage to go on their dream holiday, they deserve it ❤
It's an interesting video but it is not possible to get away for a holiday for less than Ten pounds it is still more than 10 pounds because you still have to pay for fuel to get to your destiny note
I loved that place - great concept, reasonable entertainment for the cost, but it all depends on the company - you need to go with a fun group of people and enjoy the ride...
Technically it’s not £9.50. As you have to pay for a minimum of four people, so infact it’s £38 plus fees. And that’s only when you go off peak not during the holidays.
As a child in the late 60's we were the 5th family to rent a plot on Bib Cook's Rhichmond Drive site in Skeggy , our caravan was transit van size on wheels. Not even gas lit we had an oil lamp, [I stil have] listenig to the radio. When it opend in Easter I lost a welly in the mud and the snow coming back from the toilet block. I wish I could upload my photos from those days, Robbie my dog and me on a Social Cycle, Us with our 50"s Ford pop, Proper holidays.
It was lovely to see how polite grateful and so lovely those kids were in that family of 7. Those kids deserve a treat they were so so lovely and it's refreshing to see that and not ungrateful brats. I was nearly in tears!!! Such a credit to the parents who have spent time bringing them into the world teaching them manners ! Thank you mam n dad xxxxx
Sam and Claire are absolutely annoying, irritating and miserable people I've ever seen on telly. They were moaning, whining and complaining all entire break of their holiday. So embarrassing and pathetic honestly. What do they expect 5 star luxury for the price they paid for the caravan? If they wanted luxury, they should went abroad instead of going the caravan. Some people are ungrateful seriously. I mean you get what you pay for, what do people expect?
ALL the other DOCS r about living skint, even if u have the $’s ,being thrifty is sooo smart, lose ur job, savings & there goes college funds for God knows how many kids, this was AWSM & smart 👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻
they have a brilliant business plan . for a start they dont own most of the caravans and chalettes . they are individually owned . if you buy one of their properties you sign a contract where you are only allowed to use it for so many weeks . and in return they give you a guarenteed fee every year . for them to rent it to other people . which then you have to pay a lot of that back in site fees . you can buy it outright and let it out yourself , but then you will pay to have it cleaned an maintained after every user . plus gas and electric bills . most sites are now between £100 and £200 per week in site fees . plus club memberships .
also if you want to sell the site , omg . they have you buy the balls . you cannot bring in your own people to take it away . they will charge you to take it to the gates and you will pay thousands to get it taken to another site . if you decide to sell it back they will offer you a fraction of what you paid for it .
The thing is they are not really £9.50 per person holidays, you generally don't get use of the facilities included in the price and a lot of the time you have an additional charge for "utilities". In reality it can be cheaper to book directly with one of the parks and where I work we no longer have any of the £9.50 holidays and have no problems getting guests, even later in the year. Also, two cleaners short, ha! that would be a good day for us, and we have more caravans to clean.
I prefer this kind of holiday. Nothing wrong with a cheap caravan. We don't stay in it much anyway, only at night and morning. Out most days walking and exploring.
The worse sun holiday for us was in Hastings .The caravan was minging .Smelt damp curtains were well couldn't pull them together .We had to pay to up grade .This was the only disappointed sun holiday.Others were great .
We have used these holidays for years. I wondered if they would be available post covid but they are and we have booked another one for next year. Thing is now they are more like 49.50pp and not 9.50 but still good value.
I grew up with these type of holidays. I remember paraffin heaters and lights in the caravans on the Norfolk broads and the amusement arcades. Even now that I'm a dad, I still take my family to chalet holidays at the coast . Roughing it creates better memories than exotic beach holidays in my opinion. You participate with your family more in my opinion.
