I’m a big fan of Bashley. I think he’s become the club talisman rather than player of the year, but he’s been a revelation since the Bxxxburn game. He’ll be sorely missed.
Really good video and well-researched. Couple of observations. It's easy to see Burnley as a facsimile of Pep's Manchester City, and to a large extent we are. But Kompany cites Diego Simeone as his inspiration for defensive transition and pressing, so maybe you could have researched that a little more. Also, only the media bang on about XG - it's one of the worst metrics in football. If stats are constantly disproved over 40 games, it's the stat that's the issue. Apart from that, kudos!
Some good points but Burnley fielded a virtual reserve side against City playing a novice centre half against Haarland with only a couple of appearances in the championship to his name. They did same at centre forward and whilst Kompany has performed miracles this season he proved his not infallible. Taking into account 4 1st teamers out injured another 6 on the bench his team selection, tactics and probably his formation were all wrong against the best side in Europe. Incidentally Both Maatsen and Roberts are good offensively but weak defensively and Roberts has shown doubts about being good enough at the higher level. Muric is an accident waiting to happen and his footwork isn't always that great nor is his passing often giving the ball to the opposing team. His basic goalkeeping is shockingly bad at times although most goalkeepers techniques are today are found wanting, Murics instincts and confidence appear to be severely lacking.
Funny you cite the loss to City - a team you describe as the best in Europe - as the example to highlight a tactical flaw. We'd have comfortably lost that game whatever team he selected or tactics deployed. In fact, Kompany was brave - deploying a man-to-man system (did you even know this?) which frustrated City for 30 minutes until Haaland cracked the safe. City beat RB Leipzig 7-0 the game before and Liverpool 4-1 the game after. They were bang in form. VK tried something different which was actually very astute. He rolled the dice and it came up 'six'. One fewer than a champions league team...
Love it when a new or familiar face enters the premier league. Yo-yo seasons like Fulham and Norwich had got boring very quickly. Brentford’s debut against Arsenal is one I’ll remember for the rest of my life because my god, what an atmosphere. Breath of fresh air.
Loved the video, probably the best analysis of the build of our club since Mr Benham joined us, he improved us in probably the best way an owner could! I still remember the heartbreak of losing the play off final in league two, but seeing us win that championship final was the most euphoric moment I've ever had. Onto the euros we go!!! COYB🐝🐝🐝

You look at the stats without looking at the context. Real were so far ahead of anyone in the league they rested all their key players in the last half of the season and sacrificed some of their league form in order to be able to have the energy for ucl games as can we seen in ET vs Chelsea and city. If real we’re out the ucl I have no doubt they would’ve easily beaten the 90 point mark
I don't buy the 88 point argument, they only got 88 points coz they're already won the league with less and could rest players for CL final if they had byen in a tighter race they most likely would have somewhere between the 93 they could get and 90.
The British are furious that three of their top teams were defeated by Real Madrid the Spanish giant. There is little objectivity in most of their game analysis.
As a Madrid fan. Even with Ronaldo we only displayed excellent counter attacking football. Madrids individual brilliance clicks at the right moment every time. Plus the clinical finishing by Ronaldo and now Karim
1:04 this is kinda misleading since they dropped seven points after securing the league and knowing that they have UCL final upcoming. Not certain that they would have won all but it's quite safe to say that they would have got 90 pts at least.
I believe you are very unfair with Real Madrid. Most people think the Premiere League si better than LaLiga and yet Real Madrid beat the top three of the Premiere. Deserve does not exist in football, the team that wins is the one who scores more goals, styles are a secondary issue. winning is not the most important thing, is the only thing

In every sport the team that wins the Championship is considered the Champions and the best team. Real Madrid beat Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and PSG!!! Also they won the Spanish Super Cup, La Liga, and the Champions league. What team can say they beat the top teams???? Liverpool didn’t beat Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham or Real Madrid!!!! Also the won 🏆 the two less attractive cups.!!!
