Regardless of religion or ethnicity, I cannot help wishing for the peace of mind of monks and nuns. Because there is the kingdom of God in their words.
The old woman's prediction of 4 years until the antichrist comes is almost exactly in line to when Covid started. 4 years from this video would be 2019.
I wish I could live in a monastery! But I am a family man so have to content myself with an annual retreat. But my soul is sick of the world and its noise and ugliness
The nuns and monks do not beg in tpwns for their survival, but to gather funds for building a new manostary, repairing. Everytime one donates, the donators is asked to say his Christian name some tha monks/nuns in that monastery can pray for the donator.
This has got to be one of the saddest documentaries I´ve ever watched. I really had no clue how difficult life in exile could be... my goodness. Mi Chile querido... so much suffering
Tears started to well up in my eyes several times during this beautiful documentary. These monks and nuns have such clean, pure souls. I am obsessed with their lifestyle. I am an autistic, rootless, anxious wreck of a young male constantly disturbed and assaulted by the modern world. Every day I want more and more to pursue this holy quiet life like them, yet I am enslaved by my passions and also fear missing out on a wife. I am so confused and scared about so many things and I just want to escape into a monastery and be with God and not feel the terrifying abyss anymore. Please pray for me; Holy Mother of God save me and Lord Christ have mercy upon me, a sinner. Help and mend my shattered, cloudy heart!
Praying for you 📿 Ask the Lord what His desire is for your life, and He will make it obvious the plan He has for you. Wishing you clarity and peace dear 💕
You can be a monk or a family man - if you make time to communicate with God, you will find your peace with Him :) Here are 2 talks by Fr. Calciu - he has spent 21 years in a communist prison. So you know he had practice praying in difficult conditions. He also had a family - he was a priest, not a monk. The first is about the Jesus prayer - a short clip about the strength and benefits of this prayer. The second is a longer talk - he talks about the difficulties of prayer and how to overcome them starting around minute 5:30. I pray to God you find peace :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z2r5YvjY9WM.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--00a48aDTOw.html
The good news is that Christ indeed HAS mercy on you, and died for your sins (and mine, hallelujiah!). You are young, so here is my unsolicited advice. As we know, to be a Christian is to follow Jesus Christ, in ALL of his teachings, and all that the Bible tells us about Him. He is the second person of the Trinity, sent by God the Father to live among us, and to be the sacrifice lamb for our sins. It sounds as if you realized that you are a sinner -- which sounds simple but is actually a HUGE acknowledgement, since many "church" people will say, "Hey, I'm not that bad ... I haven't sinned since I was young." The truth is that by our very nature we miss the mark of perfection, and there are MANY times each day that we sin. SO, that said, come to God, thank him for Jesus Christ and thank him for his salvation -- and believe that Jesus' work on the cross, and his rising from the dead, was for YOUR sake (because it was!). Confess your sins to him, ask for his forgiveness, he is merciful! Go to church, become involved. Have daily devotions, reading the BIble and praying. Ask God that his Holy Spirit will lead you daily, helping you to resist your temptations. In time, you grow. You may get discouraged -- no, you will, because we are human. Many saints had lives very similar to yours -- find good books on the saints who were once VERY worldly and jaded (unti they gave their lives to God through Christ ... St. Paul, St. Augustine, many others). And one last thing: going to a monastery -- or any pilgrimage -- may enhance your faith, but your relationship with God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit starts right where you are NOW. A VERY good quote that I read, when I was preparing to go to Rome, was written centuries ago by someone who had taken a religious pilgrimage in Rome (when traveling was unthinkably difficult), and it speaks to the reality that a PLACE isn't going to transform us -- only daily walking with Jesus Christ, trusting him, finding our forgiveness and meaning and peace with him, is the answer. Ok, here's the quote ------> "To go to Rome is little profit, endless pain. The master you seek in Rome, you'll find at home, or seek in vain." And remember, God knows your heart, and loves you!
One of my kids married a Romanian Orthodox girl, our family is devoutly Roman Catholic. This girl is physically beautiful, very well educated and she's a saint with a capitol 'S.' We all love her. She observes the Orthodox fasts and feast days. My daughter-is-quiet and she never raises her voice when angry. She's a real credit to our family and we all love her. She loves all people. She has a great family. Any family who makes their own home brew's alright by me! (smiling)
To a great extent the level of any civilization is the level of its womanhood. When a man loves a woman, he has to become worthy of her. The higher her virtue, the more noble her character, the more devoted she is to truth, justice, goodness, the more a man has to aspire to be worthy of her. The history of civilization could actually be written in terms of the level of its women. Fulton Sheen
1 Samuel 2:30 Therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, declares: 'I promised that members of your family would minister before me forever.' But now the LORD declares: 'Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.
Beautifully made documentary, on the lives of nuns and monks in the Romainian monastery! The nuns, and monks life philosophy, and life stories, are Incredibly, globally moving. Thank You all, for all Your Great Work!
it's obvious the maker of this film has her doubts - and that is why she has not been fair to the Nuns and Monks of the Monasteries - she benefits from their prayers, without knowing it, and she does not even acknowledge this! I am not impressed by a portrayal that in away veers towards "negative" - yes, there are problems in Monasteries - many problems sometimes as people are human - but there is a continuous effort to find God - there is a sacrifice and a spiritual battle all the time - and she should be grateful that they even allowed her to film them!!! This shows their humility! How arrogant of the film maker to go and examine a way of life she knows nothing about - and going with suspicion and looking for something bad to find! I am not impressed by the film maker.
I am a Baptist Christian. When my husband past away I was 30 now in 53 I have not remarried or planing to. I have dedicated my life now only 2 my Savior. Is it hard yes. But I can make it because Christ gives me his strength. Glory 2 our king. 🤗
3:00, so true. If there is any instability, religious life will make it worse. We can grow into a vocation, but it is definitely not for the unbalanced or the lazy.
