@@glenna9688 yup that’s exactly what I used too, I’ve only had it out once since but I’m hoping it’s going to hold up just fine. Why they don’t fit these from the off is beyond me?
At least it was relatively low speed. Hope the damage was minimal (I assume the prop and the front landing gear took the brunt of it, and they are both replaceable thank goodness)
The snow is finally melting! It's been a long, cold winter up here but we are all doing well. The arthritis has been keeping me from playing guitar so RC flying is less painful on the fingers...
@@Jpierregt I recently moved to the mountains in Pennsylvania, USA. I have been trying to fix my camera and shoot more videos in the near future. I can only guess you are french...lol
Yes !! I am french! 😇You are very insightful 😉 I live near the castles of the Loire in France in Touraine I seemed to see mountains behind your P17 on the horizon, I don't make as many videos as I did at the beginning on my channel, I have about 5/6 years of piloting and like you I have a very quiet plane on Bigfoot ARROWS But I can't help but flirt with the Warbirds they intimidate me but too bad I risk! I am an old man 🤪 it seemed to me to see you as a young man
The Maule is so easy to land it was perfect that time. I have crashed it twice in trees since making this video and will repair it AGAIN soon...and thank you for the compliment! That was the last time the camera was used and have had problems with it ever since trying to fix it...
It's funny, the maiden flight and second were perfect but then I got stupid on that flight and now this plane intimidates me. I love this plane and it flies great but being a warbird it is trickier for me on takeoffs. It wants to nose even when I taxi with full up. CG is perfect, no trim. I'm still not a very good pilot unfortunately...thanks for asking!
yes that's what I understood from watching your video. You are not stupid but if he intimidates you that is okay. You are not alone in this case with a Warbird "(especially the mustang) This is a difficult synchronization that you can pull off without analyzing it !! but the principle is as follows (from my point of view). : immediately .... I say IMMEDIATELY that the plane lifts its tail to fly you have to pull gently, but without hesitation, on the elevator while accelerating firmly ... You must also remain vigilant on the rudder to counter the torque on the left It's not easy when you're stressed !! anyway thank you for your answer i hope it is still in one piece
@@glenna9688 do you happen to know anything about the squadron kite fun star i came across one at a garage sale i cant find any info whatsoever on it just looking for some help
Thanks FG! I have been flying for a year now, still a beginner, but have been watching your videos and guys like yours to improve my skills. Wish I had more time to practice!
