Sheesh you dodged that flush, nice hand!

Definitely! Given the weird one-sided rivalry from the guy on the right with EVERYONE, I was sure there was more bluffing going on.

I like the pacing and visuals you used and will have to consider Pokeit for some of my unfilmed hands on future vlogs, assuming its free / public. One thing I'd say that is different IRL is that most of the raise sizings will typically be significantly bigger, especially from maniacal players. Great turn card for you and glad you hit one of your many outs!

Yep it's free! Once you get the template of how the information goes in, those replayers are pretty cool. I found the graphics small so I'm still on the hunt for a better one. VR headsets are a bit too swingy for moving video, neither of my games allow for a stationary camera :( Some of the betting in VR gets really crazy. I'm trying to move up stakes but now am in with the years-long regs as opposed to the newer players and my bankroll and my psyche is taking a huge hit ;) deeeeeeep breaths. I just bought PokerCruncher and am trying to figure out what to do with it to improve my ability to judge good hands.

Interesting video and perspectives! As a cash game player IRL, I found your analysis of the different table types very interesting. Back in the day, I would have been more comfortable and happy at the more passive, limpy/checky tables, being able to see more flops and hoping to get lucky. But now that I know what I'm doing, they are my least favorite tables. It's really hard to make a profit on these types of tables in real life (at least at the small stakes) because the rake is so high and people are only putting real money in when they're really strong. While the uber-aggressive tables might be swingy and test your patience, it's nice knowing that the money will be there once you actually wake up with something. Nowadays, these are the tables that I find are most profitable for me. I'm sure a tournament player would have a different perspective, as they are typically more shallow stacked and there is no rake. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and perspective. I'll have to keep an eye out for more similarities and differences between VR and IRL.

I agree! The loose & splashy players may cause some aggravation and test our patience but it's also from them that we get huge boosts. Right now I'm getting better at getting the money in good, but part of the reason why is because other people have the hands ;) ;) Thank you so much for your thoughtful responses!

What is this and why hasn’t a poker platform jumped on making this more realistic for players. Meta or apple technology would make this look so realistic

Hey thanks for the comment! This is on the Meta Quest headset. There's 2 apps where you can play Texas Hold 'em Poker on this headset, one is 8max named Vegas Infinite and is sponsored by Poker Stars so it's got more of a "realistic" look although we're still all cartoons. The 6max one is called PokerVR. It's all fake money but I'm finding it a fantastic practice ground. Right now I'm getting coolered over and over tho and having to take deep breaths. I know this is all practice for real live poker one day <3

@@Poker-in-VR I’m surprised this has taken off yet. I don’t have meta or apple but I did watch Lex Fridman’s interview with Zuckerberg using Meta and it looked pretty realistic. If I had the money I would invest in developing a poker platform focused on VR. It’s eventually going to happen…

@@Pocket_Qs You bet, just a matter of time! The two platforms I play on have good player bases, with enough variety of new players and solid regulars to test yourself against. The challenge of restricting minors from a video game headset is a thing tho, as is complying with all of the various local, national and state/provincial laws. That's why this is all fake-money-poker. One of the apps is rated 13+ and the other is 17+ but to some parents, a VR headset is a good babysitting device as early as 6 years of age. I'm fast with my mute & freeze features ;)

Thanks for stopping by! I'm learning a lot making this content - playing is one thing, but examining it to make a video makes me really think about what I've done, from a distant perspective. Neat!
