Tip: If your potholder turns wavy after a few rounds, try tightening your stitches. I was incredibly frustrated with my 2nd and 3rd potholder, having to unravel most of it since the waviness just kept getting worse and it wouldn't lay flat. I used much more tension on my fourth one and the results were much better. I wrapped the yarn between all four of my fingers, and yes this did cause my hand to cramp up sooner, but at least I got through the entire potholder without it becoming wavy.
Yes, it probably will melt. Even if you use a blend of cotton and acrylic yarn it is likely that the stitches will melt together, stick to your pot or in worst case scenarios catch fire.

This is a beautiful!! I hope that you continue to do more patterns. I was curious about the amount of chains to make. I found the answer from a previous comment. I’m a retired legal secretary and you spoke like someone use to dictating letters etc. Please continue doing tutorials. Thank you
I was wondering if you could tell me the brand and color of the yarn you used for the multicolored pumpkin in your thumbnail? I am in love with the way it looks!🥰
