Welcome to the place where I cover my favorite Games, Movies, and TV Shows! Every now and then we'll go off the wall with a music video or commentary. But we talk about Games and Movies here, those we love. Those you love.
What's missing nowadays is Arcade style sports games. I think way too many people shunned the Saber Interactive era of arcade sports such as NBA Playgrounds, WWE Battlegrounds, and currently Wild Card Football all because those games aren't like NBA JAM, WWE All-Stars, nor NFL Blitz. Even Mutant Football League and AEW Fight Forever didn't get much attention when they're trying to bring back the nostalgic era of Mutant League Football and WWF No Mercy. I am happy we're getting a second MFL soon, so there's that. I recently bought one of the modern R.B.I. Baseball games despite a bunch if people calling all of them garbage, but in my opinion, they're all solid and play exactly like the old NES RBI games that I played and enjoyed, but I think it's because that style of baseball is very outdated nowadays, which is sad. There is Super Mega Baseball that is more of an Simcade style baseball game if people get so tired of MLB The Show, but this biggest issue about the modern AAA sports games is that they don't have any competition and many of their audience isn't gonna be interesting in an indie game that doesn't have "Next-Gen" realistic graphics or Real Players, which is pretty pathetic imo.
Imo they've Always sucked. I play games to immerse myself in worlds that dont exist in real life like a fantasy RPG or do get my wits scared out of me in a twisted horror game or blow a bunch of shit up in GTA which would not go over well. Why do i wanna play a sports video when you can go do all that shit in real life. I can go play basketball with my friends or go to a game anytime i want in real life. In games i wanna do things you cant do in real life like blow up demons and visit alien planets
Lack of competition has killed modern sports titles. For WWE games you used to get like 4-5 of them a year, now it's just "Hey look at this 2K game that's going to be trash but they will quote on quote fix it with about 20 patches". Same goes for NBA 2K or Madden or MLB the show, it's no secret they were all good in the mid 2000's cause of competition it brings the best out of everyone.
I would have to disagree with the take on wwe games . This last one is the best since 2k got the rights. The gameplay is fun and there are endless possibilities with creations.
They were always trash. Pong isn't a sport. Gamers should have gatekeep'd the stupid jocks and normies away from gaming, because now all modern games follow the same formula. Same sh++ different year.
I miss old fifa the old virtua tennis games with great career modes and no damn micro transactions each game built on previous games but around 2010 that changed and it ruined sports games focusing on graphics and microtransactions all we want is fun gameplay with a decent career mode but nope we get crap and they remove content i liked when fifa had a full world cup game now its just a dlc that is just a tournament and not a whole career mode to play through
@@ChaosGamesBusiness i would rather they just bundled the old games in one package on modern consoles and slap 60-70 bucks on then play the new damn ones i feel it would be better value for money
Honestly what I really think the indies need to light a fire under EA and 2K as well as all the other video game franchises is not only promotion but also the return of those mechanics that are more reminiscent of an arcade game to hook and entice more players. If the indies start selling more copies than the big name sports games, then they're gonna have no choice but to improve. I'd also like to note that EA's NHL games have not made the jump to PC, same with their Madden titles not being on Switch. I aim to capitalize on that someday.
Agreed. Plus they need more modes. every sports game only has SP, Ultimate Team, Or GM. with little mini games. lol I've always wanted these sports games to have an open world area I can walk around, buy a house, drive around, fight people Def Jam style lol
@@ChaosGamesBusiness If I remember correctly, EA never made an NHL Street game despite Street Hockey being a very real thing lol. Maybe I could capitalize on that too!
@@agudgorl Yes! Why did EA never make street hockey? 😂. Give a fight system like Fight Night Round 3. Bloody fights, jokes from movies like clerks. Would be great! :)
@@ChaosGamesBusiness I mean considering it would've been an NHL licensed product, I wouldn't be too sure about the blood and more adult aspects. NFL Street and NBA Street still had to keep the E rating on the box despite being more over the top, probably due to mandates from the leagues themselves. Now, an unlicensed indie game, I can see them doing something like that.
@@agudgorl I wish I had you there when I was writing this! :) I forgot about them being official licensed games. Lol Which of the streets games did you like most?
Redfall is unlike a lot of bethesda/Arkanes games that actually have fun combat. Intuitive and interesting map design and enemies. The games visuals and art direction basically look like a game made in fortnite creative. There's actually nothing redeeming about the game especially being sold at 70$. Even if you get it through game pass you're effectively wasting your time and hard drive space just downloading it let alone try it.
@@ChaosGamesBusiness not mad, didn't use any of my money for it. But I'm always going to be happy to shit on a truely bad game that's overpriced. Even at 30 dollars you might expect a game to work.
@@ChaosGamesBusiness A internet troll that shits on "things" because someone told me to? Idk what you're on about, but it doesn't take much more than opening your eyes, taking in the information you see, and acknowledge a shitty game when you see it. That's all. I love how you want to talk down to me though it's cute.
this video need so much more attention because man if i could edit videos n do this i would say the same exact thing word for word yu summed up everything people been saying bro if they remastered those ps2 games like def jam, smack down shut your mouth and , all the streets sports games and added online people would go fucking crazy man i promise i wish i could get that shit back
I appreciate that! A remastered Def Jam Fight For NY, would be a game my brothers and I would play until we grow old. and with online support. That sounds like a winning formula. I'd also take any of the street games. lol
@@ChaosGamesBusiness dbzk is not the best dbz game when you go ssj ur ki charge still is blue when it should be yellow and game has no online there isn’t much u can do after you beat the game with only a few characters u can play as it gets boring the only good thing about this game it has the best story mode very detailed then any dbz game we had in the past
Kakarot is not the best dbz game they couldn’t even get the ki right when you transform into a super saiyan and they missed some key elements to the story like when Vegeta launched a final flash against Cell
