I have been around radio controlled models and cars all of my life. One of my favorite parts of the hobby is sharing it with others. My hope is that I can inspire anyone who may be interested in the hobby of model aircraft to pick up the hobby for themselves. Hangar14rc was created to share information to those who are curious about the hobby, provide tips and tricks, product reviews, and build videos. Fantastic video, bro! I love the Arrows T-28. I fly mine on 4s too. So much fun doing low-high-speed turns around the field. It is on rails. Definitely, a plane everyone needs in their collection. Especially for the price. The E=Flite version is too floaty and It flies small compared to the Arrows which flies like a bigger plane, IMO.
i love my eflite t 28 only thing I don't like is the wheels my field I fly at is grass n it just rolls over when I make the landings I just wish they made just slightly a bigger wheels on it but I've made some good landings on it tho too just gotta work with it lol
The cost of nitro fuel is why I don’t do it but if you have a local hobby shop that sells car nitro they may be able to get you the aviation stuff. They already pay for the hazard shipping so it might be cheaper than buying the 4 gallons your self
@@BullFrog96 good call! I checked one of my local stores and they only had car fuel. Seems like no one normally carries the aviation blend in store anymore
Don't use old fuel and fuel lines is what I learned the hard way. I almost crashed my Phoenix Tiger because the fuel was old and didn't run well, and the engine would die in flight because of an old fuel tube that had cracks in it. Safe to say the first flights I had with this setup led to some really stressful deadsticks.
Own 2 one stock one with a JetFan/Typhoon motor set up stupid fast nice seeing someone else love there’s too. Make sure to check the main retract mounts both of mind have pulled out once I secured them alls been good to go
Excellent video and tips on the Mirage. If you're limited to a 6Ch Tx, here's the setup for SAFE/AS3X. Wing Type - ELEVON, Tail - NORMAL. Channel Assign: Ch1 - THR Ch2 - RAL Ch3 - LAL Ch4 - RUD Ch5 - GEAR Ch6 - FLAP Ch6/Flap will be your FM channel. Nothing will be plugged into Port 6. But your Tx will send the FM on it and change your FMs. I set up my FM channel to have position 0 as OFF, position 1 is AS3X, position 2 is SAFE. To enable FMs to have the right values, go to the FLAP menu and use either (-)100 and (+)100 in positions 0 and 2 for RATE. Assign the switch you want for your FMs. Swap the values for positions 0 and 2 or reverse the channel if you prefer the FMs to be in opposite positions for OFF and SAFE. The FM channel can double for GAINS but you can set the as FIXED and change them as you want on the FORWARD PROGRAMMING menu. RCGroups.com has more on setting up the SRXL2 Rxs here. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3564137-Spektrum-AR637-630-631-8360-and-Using-SAFE Rudder and Nose Wheel Steering (NWS) will share the rudder channel. But if you want the NWS to be immobile with gear up, buy an ASSAN AG-61 Gyro. It shares the RUDDER channel and locks in the NWS for perfect takeoffs and rollouts. www.ebay.com/itm/225303758232
Congrats on a successful maiden and first complete build. I still love building kits. I'm currently building a JWRC Messerchmitt BF109 laser cut balsa and ply kit. You did a great job. You should be proud of yourself. Don't let Mach 3 fly it. lol
You named it Porn Star ? 😅 I may not have heard you correctly ? I wouldn't mind having one and paint it like a WW 2 fighter. A RC plane that is ......not a point star. 😅
