While I love Peyton's music and how he made this a softer rock song, especially love his Viking/Celtic style songs, I gotta say I definitely prefer Bad Wolves version.
Please react to Risen from Shadows - Sugar - The Dark Side of Sugar. It was a small project by amazing musicians (Nico Sallach and Daniel Haniss from Electric Callboy, Axel One, Marcel Neumann and Raja Meissner) to spread the awareness about diabetes. Nico shows a great range of his voice in this song, also he sounds really good with Axel. And the music video ... well, I'll let you judge it yourself ;)
Instinctly you feel the LP DNA right in the beginning and hope for more, but Mike lets you wait a bit. It takes a minor/major and 1-4/1-5 change until Emily kicks in and again you want more until salvation, the chorus. But there is more, the bridge, and it comes in two parts, Mike and Emily (later in the background of the final chorus too, of course!). Lyrics and video are awesome, made from one piece - now I can describe what was missing over the last 7 years.
loved your take on everything. love the song, love emily. think shes a great fit. you might want to check out her band Dead Sara to get an idea of her vocal range. start with Weatherman and go from there. also, i would highly suggest watching the 1 hr interview the band gave. they talk about how this all came to be.

@@cudahitz they are from Kalle Koschinsky, he's their choreographer, the dude who was the focus of the video. Meine Buffalos is featuring Nico (the clean vocals from EC) the other song is featuring the whole band.

Loved that one of their most „EDM“ songs to me (funny that you though it was not very EDM!) songs does start with a classic sounding EDM drop before the mini metal breakdown. As you say, it shows that even within their „formula“ they can be really creative. This song was a 6/10 for me originally as an album track but I can also say that live the energy is so infectiously positive! Always happy to see you react to these guys. If you’re ever looking for more of their stuff do check out the live performances on their channel - the mixing is fantastic and the crowds insane
Electric Callboy are the most entertaining & joyful band in the world right now, Germans have not put out a bad song in last 3 years and live shows just a massive rave of metal & EDM riffs that fill audiences with a euphoria 😆🤘
