Thanks, Mr. Jansky for going to Victoria Sept 10, 2024. T'was an awesome performance!!! God gave you the talent and voice and you're making the best of His investment in you. Thanks for your inspiring words, that you practiced one week for the show. It's time for me to practice Christmas Songs for the Nursing Home🎹🎶.🙏Lonely souls love music.
2004 was around the year I met another Christian Country singer, named "Randy Coward". Sharp-looking young fellow, IIRC. He was playing his guitar and singing his songs near the entrance of our local K-Mart store in Garland (TX) at the time, trying to sell copies of his latest album there (that location closed shortly thereafter, when K-Mart filed their bankruptcy). I remember he showed me a copy of a letter really complimenting his ability, from Dolly Parton. IIRC, he was from the Carolinas. His slogan was something like, "singing Christian, but keeping it COUNTRY." (yep, he had a biz card with that on there). He had a pretty good voice, and I always wondered whatever happened to him (never heard his name again). Wonder if Mr. Jansky might have known of him. ?
Hmmm .. 1980 is the same year that another artist recorded Amarillo by Morning, named "Johnny Bush". It was on some minor record label. I remember we had a promo copy (45 rpm) of it at the C & W AM radio station I worked at as a DJ at the time in Joplin, MO. Pretty good singer, and I was very impressed by the tune (first time I had ever heard it). I spun it a lot, and, IIRC, we did get a lot of requests for it. Thought it would propel Mr. Bush right up the charts, but frankly I don't know whether it ever hit the Billboard Top 100. Did Jansky ever use "Johnny Bush" as a pseudonym, I wonder. ? Never saw his name on a record again after that one (or, for that matter, the record label).
He used to play at dance halls when I was growing up in San Antone and his version of Amarillo By Morning was the absolute best. I wish I could find a recording of it but can't find it anywhere. Great voice, wonderful person.
Married 38 years. Lots of termoil. Played this for my wife in the nursing home. Ask her "What did you think?". She said "I can hear you now". Emotionally, that was difficult to handle.
you have a lot of great Christian music it would be nice if you put the lyrics up i play at the open range cowboy church in Ham Lake Minnesota and i do Amarillo by morning to Amazing Grace once in a while People love your songs Thank you Clifton !!!
I installed an irrigation system in his house. Here in San Antonio TX some years ago. He gave me a signed CD dedicated to my wife. that I keep with much affection
I can’t stop listening to this song, it’s definitely my favorite song without a shadow of a doubt. Thank you again for performing it at my dad’s service. Love ya Clifton! - Blake
Clifton Jansky you sang at my Pawpaw and granny’s church in Universal City, Tx. A decade or so ago. I have been a fan of yours all this time. I lost my granny passed over in 2004 from cancer and my Pawpaw just passed over September 2020 and my Pawpaw had dementia and had a pacemaker and said DNR on paperwork and but he lasted a year with out his pacemaker.
Hi Clifton, please upload a video of "Wise to Late and Old too Soon", this song is amazing and really can't find anywhere on the web! People need to listen to such great lyrics.
I have never heard you sing before until today. I think you sound amazing!! You sing this song better than anyone I have ever heard. To bad you are not in Tennessee we could use a voice like yours at church.
