Ahh, Marti reports are for us Ford guys. It's to bad Mopar guys can't get that kind o info. I have a 1970 Mercury Cougar that the Marti report shows as a 1 of 1. But a basket case is still a 1 of 1 basket case.
This guy is, was , and always be an ass. He should tell the story of getting drunk, falling out of his car, and getting road rash on his face. That was truly funny 😂
Storytime..I recognized Chris Jacobs at a Autozone one day..I played a prank on him in front of the store manager..I said "Look..That show "Pimp my Ride is a joke"...Overhaulin rocks..with Chip Foose..and What's his face..uhh.." Chris looks over at me pissed off..I walked over and shook his hand..He told me he misses all the free sponsored goodies...Hell..I would too..Great show Overhaulin!!! .
I believe that you are car builders... not creators.. are you telling me that you guys make everything on a car?.. NO WAY.. you buy aftermarket parts absolutely!.. Love the podcasts
Great interview gents! Ralph Gilles is an icon. As you asked about his fav cop interaction, I recalled a fun conversation he had while driving a SRT Grand Cherokee from a race event at Watkins Glen back to Detroit! I'll always remember that day!
I wish they taught this kind of career in high school !! Ralph came onto my radar when he released the Gen 5 Viper- what a timeless work of art !! He's won a greats ! The car guys of car guys !! I agree 100% with his thoughts on the E-Ray Corvette !! It's my favorite out of the lineup ! Thanks Ralph for your time and incites !
3:23 the average enthusiast! FUCK YOU! The rest of the world actually works on their car and changes the battery you lazy inept senile idiot! We all love our own cars that we built! You are a bought it chump and your elitist attitude of its okay to be negligent because other people may be, Cognitive dissonance much? You are truly a sick embarrassment to hot rodding and your cavalier attitude is the worst. You are the kamala harris of vehicle modification!
I'm not really a hot rod or muscle car enthusiast, I'm mainly into Germany cars, British off-roaders, and motorcycles. I'm in manufacturing, was in automotive for a bit, and I do love whisk(e)y. The podcast you guys put on is one of my absolute favorites. You've had some great guests. Lots of laughs, I've learned some things, and it's kind of motivating too. Keep up the good work and electric scooter stories.
Jesse has the most annoying voice. He talks like a twelve year old valley girl. Every other word is “like” or “cool”. “It was like really like cool and stuff.”
Great episode! Ralph is outstanding and Stellantis is lucky he sticks around. Josh, you did a brilliant job! Very insightful and interesting questions.
I didn't watch a ton of Street Outlaws but it was a good show. However, having searched it up on here and watched some clips not super long ago did remind me of the show Pinks: All Out which I did watch more often and that was a total blast.
As ridiculous as the series is, I still have a fun time watching em. For me, it's the kind of franchise to legitimately have a couple drinks and talk smack about its false physics and plethora of crazy cars and problematic plots/plotholes. Regardless, it's rly not meant to be taken serious but there's certainly no denying the fact that 1 thru 3 were the culprit for skyrocketing the popularity and prices of tuner cars along with Need for Speed, Gran Turismo and Initial D.
Very few car builders period could build a spectacle like this! I'm including the major manufacturers too. If I had to guess it is easily a million+ dollar car....to make, and will be multi million to buy. Absolutely stunning inside and out, there is not a bad line on it and it is totally custom. No wonder it won the riddler award, how could it not.
Another banger!! Awesome guy and true enthusiast. Is it a coincidence that Jim Farley and Ralf Gilles are also racers!? Looking forward to future podcasts with Jim Farley and then Larry Holts.
Canadian here,my first car was a 68 Charger 383 2bbl...We swapped the 2 bbl for a 4bbl and mopar purple shaft cam, then ported /polished the heads working at a Chrysler dealer aka mechanic/tech..I was lucky to work with a few Drag Racers who were working there and made that 68 run 12.30's in the 1/4 back in 1987..Street tires and get this 3.23 gear! I had to drive on the hwy a lot so,4.10's wouldnt work for me..I drove that car 65,000 miles from 87-91 and still own it today ,well over 100,000 now a 440 (far from stock) R/T clone done in 96!
Ralph is the shining part of Stellantis...I love his designs and fighting for the better interiors in 2011 vehicles,it made a huge difference!!! Sadly,I will never buy an electric vehicle I have driven Telsa's etc but they do nothing for me..I will buy a new gas powered Charger for my wife but missing the V8 and for RAM no V8 is a deal breaker! Luckily I bought a new 23 RAM Hemi and Challenger 392.. Sad to be in the vehicle industry now as an enthusiast, dystopian mandated electric vehicles are not even eco friendly! I wish Stellantis would have let a V8 option for the RAM and new Charger, very sad...
The idea of jesse making another show is amazing. I know there are a lot of kids in small towns out there that will come across that new show and be inspired. Kids, adults everyone I think it will be amazing for people to see that its possible to create and build something with pride. Love this idea! So sick!
Good to see he mentioned two of the best car designers alive today Gordon Murray & Adrian Newey. Fellow legends. I’m sure they both regard him similarly.
959….Q What car do you start with? , A flippin Camry! Jeez , that tells me him being there is wasted on him. I should have been there instead as it would be one of the best days of my life.!
