Meu problema está sendo até mesmo no RU-vid, myfamily, etc. O led funciona apenas nos menus. Tem alguma ideia do que possa ser?
This video is totally wrong with the tittle. Is you try to follow the instructions you wont get anything to work. It say that he have hyperion installed in a server. Wont show in the video. This video is totally useless if you believe in the title, is not going to give you any information about ambilight in a android tv just with wled and a app.
Mhh... I watch content _exclusively_ coming from either my PC or Xbox ( so neither Cable/Sattelite TV or iNet/Streaming _from_ my TV ) so with my current Ambilight Setup I'm having my PC Capture its own content and stream the Data to a TeensyDuino which then controls the 318 LEDs ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OgBASfUwStI.html ) - This basically means that when I switch over from HDMI2 ( my PC ) to HDMI4 ( my XBox ) it'll not be capturing what the Xbox is sending to the TV as obviously the Xbox is neither running its own capture software nor is it connected to the Teensy like the PC is. Does _your_ solution capture only content coming from "within" the TV ( iNet/Streaming ) or will it capture ANY content coming from whichever Source ( Streaming/HDMI1-4/AV, etc... ) is currently set as active? Reading some of your comments it looks like the System is capturing content from the TV using the TVs Hyperion Android App which is then being sent to a Raspberry Pi or NAS running Hyperion and after processing there has the signal forwarded to the LED Controller behind the TV? How does LAG stack up? Mine is probably in the sub 300ms range and while perceivable not distracting.
Hello, perfect work! You have motivated me to switch my ambilight from computer to Android TV. All works fine except video input, the Hyperion is getting data only in menu or video from Kodi. How did you managed the video input for Hyperion?
Thanks 🙂 As mentioned in previous comments and at the beginning of the video, this method doesn't work with DRM protected apps like Netflix. If you need that you must use a hdmi capture insted of the Android capture app
How i connect this all setup with hyperian server..because i see error like could not connect to hyperian server. Check your settings and make sure hyperian is running Please give me solution of this error..
Hi. Looks like a Sony Bravia Android TV. Did this work on normal TV channels and things like Disney + as it didn't work when I tested but did on the home screen and RU-vid. Great strides if you can now do this Thanks Martyn
@@ricardoreix I found this on another website. Maybe you could test and see if this works Go to /system/lib and lib64, rename libdrm.so to libdrm.so.bak and reboot. DRM (Digital Right Management) will be removed.

hello, just made this project work... have to say it work like a charm with Plex buy with RU-vid it has issues... it freezes the video a little, I'm suspecting it's related to the screen grabber from Android... do you have the same issue?
No wled, vc colocou o resistor no cabo do data? E qual o comprimento do cabo data entre o nodemcu e a fita? Eu estou tendo problemas que durante o ambilight, ele fica dando umas piscadas
It seems like you didn't adjust the "maximum current" setting in WLED - that's why you had better results when you switched to "Energy efficient" leds. You should go back there, put 10000 in the "maximum current" box (12A power supply = 12000 mA, I'm suggesting you put 10000 there, because I'm just a random guy from the internet) and then switch back to "5V default LEDS". That should make the leds MUCH brighter
exactly what I was looking for I don't why everyone else is doing the HDMI capture nonsense having a large and mess of wires behind the TV, all TVs are smart now and we'd watch content on it rather than via HDMI.
@@ricardoreix I just configured my very first WLED + Hyperion NG setup. below is the config: TV: MI 55" inch QLED TV it has 2GB RAM Server: HP EliteDesk 600 G2 running Debian 10 with Hyperion&HomeAssistant LED Strip: 4Mtr WS2812B Controller: Wemos D1 Mini Power: 5v 20Amps When I am playing a 1080p video I don't notice any lags, but when I switch to a 2K / 4K / 8K video it starts to noticeably lag a lot. I tried reducing the Capture setting in the app down to the lowest 10fps still no dice. Without Hyperion Grabber running on the TV, everything works fine and all the high res videos play fine as well. Any ideas on how to fix this?
@@aasimenator it's because of tv bhai... Thats why capture devices are better and reliable. May be try playing with vlc player and check... Somtimes youtube sucks in mi tv.
@@boopeshkumarprabhakaran Whats the solution then? any content that is local works fine, most apps like Netflix / Amazon Prime don't display ambient lights cause of DRM and youtube just lags so its totally useless
@@aasimenator I would say forget about hyperion... Or use a camera to capture screen. I love wled rather than using hyperion because of its limitations... I'm kind of person who like some smooth animations going back of tv while watching moves in tv rather screen reactive... It's up to you to decide... And dmr limitation just stops me using hyperion... As most of the contents I watch are limited by DMR.

qq, can't the LEDs be controlled directly by the raspberry pi instead of the wemos d1?
You probably can but the integration is a lot different. In the video I use Wled as a custom firmware for controlling the leds, that firmware is only available for an Esp8266, so for the Rpi you need to find another approach
Para fazer esse efeito tens q estar a reproduzir conteudo atraves do plex ? ou se tiveres a ver tv normal também funciona ? Tens q ter sempre um raspeberry pi para o hyperion-ng, isso nao da para colocar só no wemos d1 mini ? ou isso funciona tipo servidor / cliente em q tens q ter os dois o Wesmos e o raspeberry ? Para quem nao tem tv com android podes indicar onde comprar o USB Capture Device ? obrigado
No meu caso só funciona com aplicações sem proteção DRM, netflix, hbo, etc não vão dar. A solução para isso é usares usb capture device, e sim precisas do hyperion-ng, não dá para colocar no wemos mas podes meter num raspberry pi junto à televisão. Para comprar o usb capture device tens as lojas da china ou Amazon por exemplo
@@ricardoreix para veres os cabos normais TV cabo e tdt funciona ? Vi alguns tutoriais q para além do usb capture precisão de um split HDMI isso tb é necessário ou não ?
@@skysurfhf depende. O usb capture consegues fazer tudo. Por vezes é necessário um splitter para poder usufruir do cec e hdr, mas isso podes nem precisar, a minha sugestão é compra o usb capture e experimentas assim, e depois se precisares do splitter compras

Paulo Ferreira, permita-me que lhe faça algumas correcções relativamente à forma como pronuncia as palavras e como lê alguns versos. A palavra "jaz", presente do indicativo do verbo "jazer" pronuncia-se como "faz", "traz" e não "jaze"; em "exangue", este "x" não se lê "ch" mas "z" como em "exercício" ; "céus" não se pronuncia "chéus". Quanto à leitura de certos versos. Na poesia é frequente o encavalgamento, isto é, o sentido de um verso é completado no verso seguinte. Assim, os versos "Filho único, a mãe lhe dera/ um nome" e "A brancura embainhada/ de um um lenço" deverão ser lidos sem pausa pois esta quebra o sentido do verso. Finalmente, o verso da 4a estrofe é "Dera-lha a mãe. Está inteira" e não Dera-lhe a mãe" e o verso que se repete e que também serve de título ao poema é "O menino da sua mãe" e não "O menino de sua mãe". Sugiro-lhe que ouça o poema musicado por Mafalda Veiga e terá um exemplo da forma como se pronunciam as palavras e se dizem os versos.
