Japan-born Finnish composer and singer-songwriter Jukio Kallio makes music that leaps between intimate minimal pop to life affirming ambient compositions and world-building soundtracks. Kallio's widely recognized distinct sound in video games and prolific personal production hails from his cozy studio in a corner of a small forest in Helsinki.
Soundtracks of the massive hit game 'Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout', along with BAFTA-nominated 'Minit' (2018) and 'Nuclear Throne' (2015), show his ability to craft diverse and instantly recognizable musical identities.
When not dreaming up new melodies in the studio, Kallio entertains his partner and newborn baby with a guitar and a dance.
@JukioKallioMusic wait a dang ol second... you're making the game? And this is not your music? Life truly has flipped 180° Edit: I used to make music and now I make a mobile gaming series between posting hitless boss battles, so I get it. Thanks for giving me something to contemplate while I get back to preparing for the collapse of the world.
@JukioKallioMusic that's amazing and inspiring simultaneously. If you don't mind sharing, I'd love to know what program you use to make games, but I understand if you wanna keep your recipes to yourself. I just got G-stomper for making music and it's basically one half of making it possible to make my dreams able (a ton). Ableton for android 🙂
My friend and I just started an electronic project called Knob Ross and I shared a tiny sample on my channel... I know it's a long shot but we're trying to get into VGM and would love a reason to be ultra motivated.
It's incredible how you can FEEL the game through the soundtrack. One of few game soundtracks that captures those feelings of a place your character's in right now. Seriously can't stop listening to this absolute masterpiece
@@R.SHIELD No, I've been downloading this game for many years. But I used to include the link when I uploaded the clip to RU-vid for review, but people who didn't know and had never played said they couldn't find it. So I thought that this game had been out for many years.
This is easily one of my favorite video game soundtracks from one of my favorite video games. INSANELY underrated. Kings and Queens of Wasteland never fails to make me a little emotional, it has no reason for it to be THAT good. I guess all I really have to say is… Thank you, Jukio.
