No doubt there is no Channel in the history of Australia’s Television that can bring Comprehensive Coverage of the Olympic Games better than Channel Seven.
Wooloongabba development looks like an eye sore with a wasted opportunity for some unique architecture. Same as dexus who could have made their twin towers on the water front more interesting rather than the stock standard. Also heard that Griffith Uni is looking at purchasing treasury which would be tragic as it would cut of most if the public access to a beautiful building. Brisbane in general needs to get more creative with its architecture.
Don’t want to see the traffic into and out of city that visitors to this building will create. It’s already impossible to travel on the one and only highway in and out of the city. It’s alsnog a highway in the real sense as it only has 4 lanes in most places at best.
If only we had on the list: - More river crossings - Real East-West metro (not the faux 'metro' by BCC) - Indooroopilly demolition and rebuild of mall - Chermside busway/rail line and so on As for UpTown I am lowering my expectations.🤧
Queens Wharf turns out to be a B-grade complex. The colour of the towers are nowhere as exciting as other entertainment precincts but a depressing 2 mismatch phallus. Brisbane deserve so much more but as long as they don’t do design comp like Syd, it will remain a second tier city
About the old Myer centre (Uptown). Last thing I heard was they were planning high end retail future but I don’t think they will sell well. I hope they turn it into tech entrepreneur hubs, health services, leisure activities and even unlock the rooftop for bars and beer gardens. Could really fill a niche market, considering the amount of retail already available in the CBD. Oh but make the food court bigger and better. It’s bloody convenient. I feel the centre faces away from Elizabeth Street so they should improve access from that side of the building. Open it up more. The future is bright and the centre has a lot of potential. Also, I think they said redevelopment would commence early in the new financial year so in coming months they will have to release plans for consultation. They should ask what the public want if they want to stay relevant.
I’ve been reading Brisbane Development for many, many years, keeping up to date with how this city is growing. Have always loved the website and the content it has posted. It’s strange to be able to attach a face to it, but you were very well spoken and this video was great quality. Good job! I do remember emailing you ages ago about when you updated the website and made it unusable with an ad-blocker whilst simultaneously increasing the number of ads on the site, so, that wasn’t cool. Asides that though, keep up the great work. I’ll watch your next video that’s for sure.
Newman once said on King George Square Opening day that it was going to be a major Brisbane tourist attraction. Do you really think tourist would want to take a photo of depressed homeless people and stare at a slab of concrete on a hot sunny day. LMFAO
good thing they didn't build road tunnels along those corridors in the northern suburbs. They are reviewing the idea now, but in the form of new Rail lines or Bus Priority lanes instead.
