I am not sure if anyone reads these, but I am a university student who also happens to be a fantasy miniature wargame and tabletop roleplaying enthousiast.

Fun game! I thought the KO should have used their wild dice advantage in the 2nd to last turn to take priority/initiative, but in the end it didn't matter.
Een Warcry campaign met een soort van campaign tree (als in de 6e editie Storm of Chaos boek) zou wel vet zijn! Mordheim zeker ook! Misschien met meer speler? Ik houd me aanbevolen haha
Hmmm, ik zat zelf te denken om t campaign system van warcry zelf te gebruiken en dan te focussen op 1/2 warbands waar dan de main narrative over gaat (die zouden dan dus elke keer een andere opponent hebben met evt dus een soort terugkerende rival). Ik heb zelf nooit met storms of chaos gespeeld, maar van wat ik van die tree zag impliceert t dat steeds dezelfde 2 warbands tegen elkaar zouden vechten. Zou dat niet snel saai worden denk je? En is er iets specifieks van die tree wat gaaf is wat je graag terug zou willen zien?
@@miszajansen Het coole aan de tree is dat de uitkomst van de ene game de volgende objective bepaald. In de White Dwarf stond laatst zoiets voor 40K Combat Patrol, waar elke missie bonussen had aan de hand van de vorige missies.
This is an freaking perfect Battle Report of this game, crystal clear, very well filmed and great commentary dude, that was a very cool match to watch, never played this Victory Condition, that was quite fun to see. Also, it wasn't an obvious game, where you could tell who would win, it was anybody's game until very late, that is awesome to see in Warcry... ...however, I think you misinterpreted the Victory Condition here: You were suppose to be within 5" inches of the CENTER of the board. The very center point in which all 4 divisions of the board cross, when you unfold it, and you ran all the Kharadron AWAY from there, towards the edge of the board, not the center. The Untamed Beasts should have been the winnner here, cause they have more within 5" of the middle of the board. Also, you missed a very important rule of FALLING when being targeted by an attack when you're 0,5" inches of an edge of a plataform. Lots of attacks have been done on high ground, where some fighters could have fallen on a roll of 1, and you never made any falling tests (or you did, but off-camera I guess, hahah) Regardless, very enjoyable battle report, you deserve more views, this is great! Wow thanks for the kind words and feedback! Much appreciated! To touch on what you are saying though, I don't think I misinterpreted the victory condition. Maybe I did not say it clearly enough in the video, but if you read the card I showed in the video you will see it says 5" horizontally of the center of the board. Key word being horizontally. I think you are supposed to interpret that as being within 5" of the center vertical line of the board. Thats also why I ran the Kharadron away from the true center, because they would still be within 5" of the center line, while also being out of danger. Hope this clears that up. The mention of the falling rule is very valid though and was actually an editing mistake! I filmed this battlereport quite a while ago and during filming I did roll for falling, however I rolled no 1's. Then during editing I completely forgot about it by mistake due to essentially nothing happening ^^' xD.
@@miszajansen I stand by what I said about the center, and the "center of the board" is still the very point in the center, not the entire line as you did. Horizontally only means you MEASURE horizontally, so you could be anywhere on a plataform, and the fighter would count. I saw the same "horizontally from the center" in various other rules, twists or secondary objectives in Tournaments :) "Horizontally" means you don't measure diagonally or vertically, that's all. But that's okay, you just changed the rule and it was fair to both warbands anyway, both were trying to do the same thing in the end hahah
ooooh when you put it like that it makes a lot more sense. I haven't played in tourneys so I will take your word for it for the time being. Thanks for taking the time to explain! If I get a similar victory card in the future I will go with your definition for the time being.
@@miszajansenNo problem at all buddy! Hope this actually helps. there are other "measure horiontally" that also apply, cause otherwise, you just measure diagonally, or base to base, just like ranged attacks :D Have fun!
I don't have a problem with square bases, but I'm glad you did this video as I personally was thinking of the same thing that you did. This video is what I needed to do it my self also very nice painting on the miniatures.🙏😇🇺🇸
4:01 is this attack valid? I thought attack distance were measured from base to base - as the height of the building3'', it's impossible for the base of the attacked model to be less than 3'' (pithagoras) - Great paintjob and footage!
This was fun! The Troll coming in like a wrecking ball. One request: This time some rolls were shown after you already removed the model or announced the result, which takes away the tension. Also for the survival battle of the witch, one second for us viewers to process the roll would have given it more impact.
Uh oh thats not good. Probably means something went wrong with editing because I usually try to make sure everything is timed correctly. Was there a certain moment after which (almost) every roll was like that? Or were there just a few random moments here and there? As for the last point thats a good call. I will try to give more time when those critical moments happen next time. Thanks ! :)
Square base is fine for me. Most importantly I see you put a lot effort for explaining these gaming report with old world warband and these are valuable to me.
Might I recommend that there is a striking difference between the teams. Maybe a green base vs a red base. Or something like that. It’s hard for me to tell who is on whose team
Even tho i have barely any/no clue about warcry, your battle reports are rly nice to watch xP And i once again realized that the scavens/ rat ppl still give me the creeps ^^'

Hi very good to watch batlle reports I`m giving you a sub:) 5:29 you did a small rule mistake since you can olny use one dice to upgrade single to duo or duo to triple etc... you cant use two wild dice and go from duo to quad
Might I suggest using the tournament match games from the heart of ghur book. It's a bit fairer as it goes for at least 4 turns. I find a 3 turn game doesn't allow enough time. But still loving the content and that massive rat ogre was awesome!!!
Thanks for the suggestion :) most of the appeal for me in warcry is how the cards can so significantly change the tides though. Seeing how even with the card version of the matched battleplan there is no twist (card), I'm not sure wether I'll use these. However, I do agree that 3 turns is generally too short for an engaging battle. So I might at the very least exclude 3 turn cards from my decks (especially those that have 4 turn equivalents/similar cards). If I ever do a less casual report with two warbands where I aim to optimize the lists more to show off their maximum strength I will use it though to make things more fair.

Short is perfectly fine! I just like seeing how things play out. My recommendations are around your list building: 1) optimize them, including, 2) design them to handle any type of mission. It was easy to predict the outcome of this one as soon at the mission was revealed, but there are things you can do to offset the numbers and movement speed disadvantages of a Stormcast list.
In terms of optimization I am sadly somewhat limited by my funds ^^' so some lists I have more room for optimization than others. Any specific suggestions though? (for any of the warbands you have seen on the channel)
Another nice warcry report! But I can't help but say that in first round, the quad can be used for ranged attacks as well. So it could've been used on either Knight Incantor or Castigator for additional attacks :)
You are totally right! I realised that later too. The FAQ version of Rampage allowing that really is not in my system yet. I dont think it would have made much of a difference though seeing the outcome of the battle ^^'
Thanks and Ikr! its already such a strong model but the twist and the lucky crits really made his damage skyrocket here... Its not often I see Stormcast eternals get outdamaged but this was for sure one of those times.
