You forgot the part where you’re playing on your phone for most of the day like our MT’s do. Year and a half Detailer here and I am stupified at the level of incompetence I see daily at Enterprise. From not having enough cars to having too many cars to canceling customer reservations without notifying them. I’ve experienced customers being told there was no vehicle for them on the day they were going on Spring break. I’ve seen tears and threats of legal action due to these cancellations. Yet they will go out of their way for certain customers. Quite baffling actually. One point I cannot make clear enough is that the Detailers and Drivers actually do ALL the tough jobs. MT’s sit in air conditioned/heated offices while Detailers sweat their asses off in the Summer and freeze in the Winter. Enterprise sets impossible SQI standards but have no problem sending MT’s to elite events. Yup, giving them free rental cars and a hotel stay and a ticket to an NBA game. Keep in mind that the MT’s wouldn’t have jobs if it wasn’t for the Detailers _ucking cleaning the vehicles and fueling them and staging them on the lot. If you think I sound bitter it’s because I am. This is by far the hardest job I’ve ever had and I worked at FedEx for 20 years as a courier and a ramp agent. I come home sore and exhausted just to get up to do it all over again. If you’re looking for a job where you can dress nice and play on your phone most of the day and rent a few cars on the side then this is definitely the job for you.
