I studied military strategy at Georgetown, and Ziad Jarrah turned over Cleveland for a simple reason: He wanted to use the Potomac River to guide the plane towards Washington, DC, and once he got closer, use the National Mall to align the plane towards the US Capitol. Without delay, the aircraft would've crashed before 9:30 a.m. using the exact flight path. If he had taken a different route or jumped the gun sooner, Jarrah would've had to hurdle over low-lying buildings in Washington, DC, making it difficult to achieve his goal. Hani Hanjour used Columbia Pike to align with the Pentagon. Mohamed Atta used the Hudson River to guide his aircraft towards New York City.
The official report by the FBI states the hijacking of flight 93 took place at 9:28. According to the transcript of the alleged cell phone calls show that Beamer called a spoke with dispatcher Jefferson. The call log shows the call connected at 9:45. Beamer says there are men who are about to highjack the plane. Jefferson says she spoke to Beamer for about 7 minutes and Beamer says, okay they are going into the cockpit. That puts the hijacking at around 9:50/9:52. Which is it? Did the hijacking take place at 9:28 or around 9:50? And, Beamer's line stayed open even after the plane crashed.

I believe all the crew and passengers on flight 93 were heroes, and I agree that they got into that cockpit and tried their best to take back control of the plane …it’s heartbreaking to know that they just didn’t have enough time… I strongly believe that had the hijacker’s intentions had not been to die, the crew and passengers would have been able to get control back and at least had a chance ❤ They will ALWAYS be heroes in my eyes…May they forever RIP ❤️🇺🇸

This was so well put together. Thank you for the great information and insight into this particular flight,it’s the first time I heard all the details of flight 93. I was at the hairdressers that horrible disastrous day and flew out to a wedding interstate 2 days later,it was so eerie on the plane that day,everyone was reading newspapers and that’s the only sounds you could hear that day was the rustling of newspaper and ppl quietly talking with others seated next to them. It was a bit scary to be on a plane 2 days after 9/11 even though I was in Australia. My heart breaks for all the lives lost and all the pain of ones left behind.💔💔🇦🇺
I had made a monetary contribution for the flight 93 memorial when they first asked for contributions, I was so willing to do so for the memory of that day what took place there.
This just is too heartbreaking. I couldn't mentally think about 9/11 untill just a few months ago. Just way too sad. Watching this is so eye opening. I sent the link to my 19 yr old daughter and told her to watch this. We have to teach our next generation about this day in 2001. The gentleman was talking about the Napoleonic wars. GB would stop ships and decimate the crew to fill their own ranks.
